They followed Gally through the streets, coming to a stop at a narrow alleyway near a tall brick wall. The top of the wall was just out of arm’s reach. Gally turned to Newt, dropping to one knee and cupping his hands together.

"Alright, Thea, you're up," he said.

She dismissed him with a shake of her head. "I got it," she replied confidently.

She took a step back, then charged at the wall with full force. Lifting one leg to strike the wall with her foot, she used the momentum to push herself up. Her hands grabbed the top of the brick wall, and she swiftly pulled herself over.

Turning around, she reached down and extended a hand toward Newt, helping him up before doing the same for Gally.

Gally looked toward Thomas, but the latter just shot him a glare. "I got it," Thomas said curtly.

Thea and Gally exchanged amused glances, rolling their eyes before smirking at each other, realizing they had both done the same thing.

They followed Gally up a set of stairs, and soon enough, they were rushing across a narrow ledge on the side of the wall. Gally quickly moved through a doorway that led to a flight of steps, and they eventually found themselves on a higher level.

“There it is.” Gally pointed at the tallest building in the city, standing right in the center. Blue spotlights illuminated the sides, shining straight up. “If WICKED’s got Minho, that’s where they’ll be keeping him.” He crouched down and grabbed a hidden telescope stashed in a pipe. “Lawrence has been trying to find a way in for years.” He adjusted the telescope onto a metal railing in front of them, then leaned against it with his arms resting on the rail. Thea stood next to Newt, who kept a watchful eye on her and Thomas, making sure they kept a safe distance to avoid another fight.

“The place is crawling with soldiers,” Gally continued. “They’ve got surveillance everywhere. Scanners on every floor.”

Newt mirrored Gally’s position, his arms resting on the railing as he leaned with his left knee slightly bent. “Sounds like a bloody fortress.”

Thomas shifted in his spot. “Yeah, I thought you said you had a way in.”

Gally inhaled sharply, turning to look at Thomas before glancing at Thea. He then focused on the building in front of them. After a brief pause, he finally spoke. “I might.”

Thomas’ face flushed red, and his mood shifted instantly. “You might?” He stood up straight and moved closer to Gally, his voice rising. “What the hell do you mean, ‘might’?”

Thea stepped between Gally and Thomas, putting herself in the middle to prevent a confrontation. Gally ran his tongue over his teeth, glancing down at the telescope before stepping back. “Take a look.”

Thomas looked through the telescope, and Thea stood nearby, trying to get a better view with her own eyes, but she had no luck. She saw the flash of anger in Thomas’ eyes as he stepped back.

Gally crossed his arms over his chest and leaned against the wall. “I said I had a way in. I didn’t say you were gonna like it.”

Thea shot him a confused look, not understanding what they were talking about. “What?” She moved to look through the telescope, but Thomas stopped her.

“That’s not such a good idea, Thea.”

She narrowed her eyes at him, anger bubbling up inside. “All of a sudden, you care about me? The nothing more than a WICKED soldier?” He stayed silent. “Move, Thomas.”
