Unexpected Love...

Recovery Day

Leah's POV:

Last night was the best, I really enjoyed meeting Emma's dad and brother, they were all so nice and welcoming, but the highlight of my night was Emma and I sharing a bed, I loved having her next to me and her being the last person I see before I fall asleep and her being the first one I wake up to in the morning. This morning I really needed Beth and Viv's advice, I'm still debating on whether or not I should ask Emma if she wants to spend the break with me and my family, so that is priority number one with the add on factor that Emma and Beth are close friends, so that should be fun.

As soon as I pulled up into the training centre, I saw Beth and Viv getting out of their car so I quickly parked the car and rushed over to them.

"Hey guys, you alright ?" I say to them as I finally reach them.

"Hey Leah, all good, you ready for recovery? Beth says with a happy smile on her face.

"Ready as I'll ever be, but can I ask you something before hand ? It's about Emma" I see her face light up, I know she's been wanting to talk about it for a while, but I bet Viv has told her not to.

"Oh my gosh yes, what can I help you with ?" Beth stands there really exited like a kid in a toy shop.

"So my mum may have noticed what's going on between Emma and I and at the game she told me I should invite her round for the break, but I don't know if it's too soon for her and I don't want to push her into meeting my family"

"I'm guessing you haven't even asked her about it yet have you ?"

"No of course I haven't Beth I've been to worried about if I should ask her still" Beth stands there with a small smile on her face.

"Look Leah, Emma is a family person and throughout the time I've known her, almost every break she gets away from football, she spends it with her family. But you have plenty of time to ask her, and plus the way I always see you guys looking at eachother suggests to me that she might just say yes" she says with a proud smile on her face as we walk into the changing rooms.

As I walked in I was met with a very familiar laughter. Emma's laughter. I look over to her cubby and see that she's joking around with Steph and Katie. What a questionable trio. As soon as I'm walking over to my cubby, Emma looks over at me with a warm smile and joins back into the conversation with Katie and Steph. As soon as she does this, I instantly get an idea of how to tease her a little.

I put all of my things onto the bench and start getting changed, but I purposely delay putting my training top on for as long as possible, I turn to look over at Emma an she's already staring at me, she's got a hungry look on her face and her jaw is clenched, it makes her look so hot. After teasing her everyone had left for recovery leaving us together alone in the changing room. After putting on my shose I go to put my top on, but before I start to pull it on I feel a hand on my lower back and I instantly know who it is.

""You have no idea what you are doing to me" she wispers in my ear, then she walk off to catch up with the others.

Emma's POV:

I walked into the training grounds in a good mood today, mainly because I woke up next to Leah this morning, and that I get to see her again soon at recovery. I walk into the changing rooms, and sat at my cubby that is next to Steph's she's one of the first people in, we actually get on really well, we have so many things in common, she actually supports Liverpool like me, so we talk about that for a while until Katie comes over to join in on the convosation as well.

Out of the corner of my eye I see Leah walk over to her cubby, she looks over at me with a shy smile that I return. As I was talking with Steph and Katie, I couldn't help but look over at Leah who has a small smirk on her face already, she starts getting changed but leaves only her top off, she knows what she's doing, she's trying to tease me and it's working. The things she does to me without even being close me is insane.

After what I said to Leah before I lef ther in the changing rooms alone, I finally see her come out to join the rest of the girls in recovery, I can see that she's still got that blush on her face the one that I left her with, I just smile to myself just knowing I'll get her back for that.

Once we had our debrief of the game yesterday, we were able to get on with our recovery session, this normally consists of going into the ice baths, getting a massage and doing a light workout in the gym. We all make are way into the gym, so we can relax our muscles the best we can. After about thirty minutes in the gym we were able to go into the ice baths, this was going to be fun I don't mind them as much, the quicker you get in the quicker you get out, but some people's reactions to the ice bath are just funny to watch.

As I'm about to get into the ice bath with Steph, I couldn't help but look over to where Leah was getting ready to get in, she seemed very hesitant which I have to laugh at.

"Oh shut it, it's harder than it looks" she looks at me with a very serious look, I just continue to laugh "Ok if you think this is so funny why don't you go first" she just stands there with a cocky smile on her face.

"Ok challenge accepted" I take a step into the ice bath and quickly bring my other leg in, I immediately dunk my head under the water to make my body climatize to the cold water faster. After a minute of trying to regulate my breathing, I look up at Leah and give her a wink along with a cheeky smirk.

"Now it's your turn" she just stood in disbelief, I don't think she expected me to have done it that fast, but I wasn't going to give her the satisfaction she was looking for.

After many people including myself laughing at Leah trying to get into the ice bath we all got dried off, Beth, Steph and I headed into the physio room to get a massage, my calves were a bit tight from the game yesterday, so it was well needed. As the three of us were getting our massages we ended up talking about a bit of everything and what ee were going to be doing over the break that's comming up in a few weeks.

"So Emma, what are you going to get up to during the break anything fun ?" Beth asks me.

"I'll be visiting my family for a few days, then I'll have to go to Barcelona for a brand deal then come back on the Friday, I don't know what I'm gonna be doing on the Saturday and Sunday, probably just stay at home"

"You get to go to Barcelona, I'm well jealous" steph says with a sad face, wishing she could come along.

"So how's things with Leah going ?" Beth says making my eyes go wide, I knew she knows about us, but Steph doesn't and she said it right infront of her.

"Wait, are you dating Leah ?" Steph obviously pieced two and two together from Beth's outburst of information.

"Thanks Beth nice one. No we're not dating, we're just seeing where this goes" I say honestly to them both. "But things are going well, my dad invited her round for dinner last night after the game and it went really well, but I cant help but wonder if it was to soon for her to meet my family"

"Does it feel like you guys are going to fast ?" Beth asks me.

"You know I thought it would, but after they all met it felt right, I don't know if that makes any sense" I just sit there with a smile on my face, from just talking about Leah. Gosh what is this girl doing to me.

After we were all finished with our massages we were free to go home, Beth and I have organised a small movie night round hers and Viv's, with just a few of the girls, so I had to get home and get ready for that and eat something before I head off to their place, so I made my way out to my car where I find Leah leaning on her car that's parcked next to mine.

"Finally, I feel like I haven't seen you all day" she says greeting me with a hug "I was thinking, we could have a movie night round mine tonight if your up for it" she asks me with hopeful eyes.

"Funny enough I was going to ask you the exact same thing, Beth and I have planned a movie night round hers and I was wondering if you would like to come with me"

" I would love to come with you, how could I say no to spending time with you" she says with a smirk on her face.

"Hahaha you're so adorable. Anyways, I'll pick you up so we can go together, and so you won't have to drive" I say to her as I pull her into another hug.

"Ok I'll see you later" she says as she slightly pulls out from the hug to give me a kiss, that last longer than I expected, but I'm not complaining, I would happily kiss her all day if I had to. We finally break away from eacother said out goodbyes and we got into our cars and set off to go get ready for tonight's movie night round Beth and Viv's House later.
