EMMA'S POV:

Once we had gotten changed, the team had made their way out into the tunnel and I have never dreaded playing a game of football in my career more than this one, this one's different, I can tell that this is going to be physically and mentally draining for me and I can't wait for it to be over.

After waiting for Liverpool to line up in the tunnel they finally arrived, and all I can feel are eyes burning into the side of my head and I'm pretty sure who it is, I glance over to Lauren who has a smug smile plastered on her face.

"So how long has that been going on for then ?" She ask as she tilts her head towards Leah, still with that smug look on her face. I don't want to give her the satisfaction of an answer so I do my best to ignore her.

"Ignore me all you want Riley, but I'm not going anywhere for the next 90 minutes, guess your stuck with me" I continue to ignore her the best I can, and thankfully the two teams started to walk out onto the pitch. Kim eventually leads us down the line to shake hands with the Liverpool players and as I'm shaking the players hands I purposely ignore Lauren and Leanne, which I'm sure didn't go unnoticed by the cameras but that wasn't my biggest concern right now, all that I care about in this moment is winning the three pionts and getting this game over and done with as soon as possible, but I think that's just wishful thinking.

As soo as we had our team huddle we make our way to our positions on the pitch ready for the kick-off.

"Keep your cool Riley, don't let her get into your head" Beth says in my ear as she walks past me on her way to the halfway line. I know she's right, but she doesn't know Lauren like I do and if anything, she has made it her goal to get in my head throughout this whole game just to try and get a rise out of me, but I refuse to give her the satisfaction.

Not long after the game had begun, not much as happened it's the 12th minute into the game, both teams are just trying to settle onto the game as much as possible, but as soon as Steph intercepts a ball she passes it up field over to Beth on the far right, I sprint towards goal to give Beth an option, but as she passes the ball towards me, I have Lauren hot on my heals chasing down the same ball as me, but as I got into the box I slowed down and called for the ball from Beth as I was in an open position to take a shot, as soon as she passed the ball Lauren had ran straight passed me at full speed thinking I had kept running, by the time she had realised I had hit the ball on the volley and it went straight passed the keeper and into the back of the net.

My team had come over to celebrate my goal, but I don't out of respect for the Liverpool fans, I even saw some Liverpool fans applaud me for my goal I mean I wouldn't blame them it was a pretty awesome goal if I do say so myself. As I turn around to head back to my position I get a glimpse at Lauren's face, and from what I can tell she does not look the slightest bit happy, but I don't think it's just because her team are now 1-0 down it's because I was the one who scored against her. As I pass her I give a small proud smirk which she doesn't really appreciate.

Each team gets back to their positions ready for the restart, Liverpool are desperate for the equaliser, they've had a few chances but nothing has come of them. It's the 35th minute and Liverpool have a corner, I'm stood just outside the corner ready to counter attack, and most of our defenders and midfielder are in the box defending the Liverpool corner, but all I can keep my eyes on are Leah, I know Keirnan's in the box and they look quite close to eachother almost like like she's bothering Leah.

LEAH'S POV:

The game hasn't gone to bad so far and I haven't had any issues with Keirnan so far. The ball goes out for a corner and some Liverpool players make their way into the box while we're getting ready to defend the corner and I'm marking Keirnan.
