East High Story: Chad and Troy

Chapter 11: Potions

Chad arrived early to Potions, his first class of the day. As he walked in the room, he realised he was the first to arrive. Or at least he thought he was until he heard a moan from behind the professor's desk.

"Hello?" Chad asked awkwardly.

Disheveled and blushing, an old man Chad assumed to be his new professor popped out from behind the desk.

"And who might you be?" The scraggly looking man questioned, wiping his hands on his pants.

"Are you Professor Slughorn? I'm Chad Danforth, one of the new students from East High."

"Right, right..." The man muttered before reaching to shake hands.

Chad's right hand met his professor's in a wet handshake.

"Go on then and find yourself a seat, boy." Chad cringed and shuttered at the lasting sliminess on his palm.

"Actually professor, I was wondering if you had any recommendations for tutoring. I would hate to fall behind and I think I'll need a little help catching up."

Slughorn's face twisted into a sly grin. "I can get you in touch with one of my best students."

Cautious but excited, Chad responded," Why, that would be great Professor"

"Great, I'll let Malfoy know."

Chad paused. He had heard the rumours about that boy and his face was doing nothing to hide that.

"If that's not satisfactory, I can always accommodate private lessons..."

"NO! Ah I mean, no thank you." Chad burst. Maybe it was the professor's tone or Chad's still sticky fingers, but he did not want to be alone with that man.

Chad sat down in the back of the class, as far away as possible from his professor, and waited for class to start.

As the other students began to trickle in, Chad noticed the most beautiful greasy headed blonde boy he had ever seen in his life. The boy walked right to Professor Slughorn who began talking to him while looking at Chad.

"Wow, that must be Malfoy," he thought. The boy made his way to the back of class and sat down beside Chad.

With an outstretched hand he introduced himself, "The names Malfoy, Draco Malfoy. I heard from Professor Slugcunt over there that you need a tutor."

Chad cleared his throat and gulped, "Yes, uh that would be really helpful. I'm new here so I feel like I'm already behind in my classes. I'm Chad Danforth btw."

Chad shook his hand and Draco winced, "Why is your hand so slimy?"

Chads eyes widened, "Umm I was picking some gillyweed by the lake earlier lol"

Draco rolled his eyes and muttered "Great, another fucking freak plant nerd, just what this school needed."

Chad sunk into his chair and wished the ground would swallow him whole, this was not a great start to his time at Hogwarts.

"You know I don't do this for free, what will you do for me if I help you? You're black right? So, you can get me some drugs? Or are you like Mexican because that's even better. Anyway, my friends and I are sneaking out to the club tomorrow and need this muggle drug I heard of called Molly. Can you get that?"

Chad's face tensed as he realised this was the only way to get into Draco's good graces and agreed. "Yeah, for sure me and my friends do molly like all the time. I have so much of it. I do it like every day lol that's so easy I can definitely do that."

Draco raised a plucked eyebrow, "That's like really fucking unhealthy you know."

Chad's face fell, "yeah, you're right I have an addiction I should really stop."

Draco rolled his eyes, "You know, by taking all this molly away from you I'm basically doing you a favour. Since you have so much, can you just bring some to class tomorrow?"

Chad stuttered "I- uh yeah i um I- I- I can definitely do that for you buddy."

"I'm not your fucking buddy you freak, and don't do you dare tell anyone about our little arrangement. You better get me that molly, and don't fuck it up or I'll tell my father you're addicted to molly, and he will get you expelled faster than you can say mudblood."

Chad paled and nodded.

Chad spent the rest of class beating himself up about that terrible first impression and didn't even notice Troy Bolton staring daggers of jealousy at him and Malfoy all class.
