Ever since Jin found out about Jungkook's new girlfriend, he has been applying at several different companies. Hoping that they'd hire him right away. He has used most of his accrued days off and unless he finds a new job quickly, he will have no choice but to return to face Jungkook and his new love interest. But so far, no luck finding anything.
A couple of coworkers he's on friendly terms with have texted him to let him know that the new woman in Jungkook's life has been a constant presence in the company. He would prefer not dealing with that.
He finally gets a call to interview as a junior news reporter. When he arrives for the interview, he was extremely nervous and prayed he wouldn't say anything wrong.
But as the interviewer asked him several questions, he answered the best as he could. Which worried him since he knows he is not good under pressure.
The good thing about the interviewer was that he was fairly young. And when he asked, "Why are you leaving your current job?"
The young man smiled and told him he was hired when he heard Jin's response, "Because I slept with my boss and I need to get away from the awkwardness."
"Really? I have the job? Just like that?" Jin asked incredulously.
His new boss stood up and chuckled, "Just like that. I have a good feeling about you. I think you were made to be in front of a camera. The people will love your look. You can start on Monday. And you can meet your cameraman."
Jin smiled happily as he absorbed the news.
"And by the way, you won't get fired here for sleeping with the boss. I guarantee it." His new boss winks before walking out.
Jin sat in shock but left the interview feeling a ton better. Now he can quit his job without a worry.
The next day he arrives late to work carrying an empty box. His closest desk mate tells him that Jungkook has been asking about him all morning.
"Well, I will be letting him know in a bit. But I may as well tell you. I am leaving for a new job. I just came to pack up my desk."
"That's wonderful! Where?"
As Jin begins gathering his things, he looks up to see Jungkook and his new girlfriend in his office. He stands when he sees Jin and walks out of his office towards him.
"You finally made it. We were starting to worry about you. I think we can look past your tardiness one more time. I'm just glad you are here."
"Actually, I won't be here anymore after today. Starting now. I have found a new job and am to start immediately."
Other people have begun to gather around to watch them. Noticing that Jin is packing his things.
"What? Why?" Jungkook asks.
"I just think it's time for a change. I have learned all I need to know about publishing that I care to learn."
Jin then turns to his desk mate and says his goodbyes quietly. And as he starts to walk away Jungkook tells him, "Now wait a minute. Don't you think you have made a split decision without much thought? I mean, surely you can give us a chance to offer you a change before you decide to leave. And I think we deserve some notice of your departure. You can't just leave us hanging."
"Oh.. I just thought that with so many complaints about my tardiness and my subpar work that you would be happy to see me gone."
"Ahem, well.. I'm sure we can overlook that. I feel.. as I'm sure most of the others here would agree. That your uniqueness and style are a great asset to the department."
