「 ❆ 」Snow Cones - Lou x Reader [REQUEST]

It's the middle of June, which means hot summer days have returned. The sun gazed down upon all the brawlers, slowly boiling everyone alive. It was dreadful.

Y/N was no different than the rest. The heat was killing you! You dragged yourself around Starr Park, trying to get your mind off the heat, but obviously it had no effect. You sighed wearily as you flopped yourself onto a nearby bench, fanning your hands in an attempt to cool yourself down.

Suddenly, you heard a familiar jingle ringing in your ear. You look to the side, and it was none other than Lou, the robot snow cone salesman that works for Mr. P. As expected, he was making his specialty, snow cones. In all honesty, you were shocked to see him here. He'd usually be found at the snowy mountain peak, a destination you rarely go to.

Although meetings between you two were close to none, whenever you had the chance to meet him, you'd always stop by and have a little chat with him. He was a fun guy to be around! And his snow cones were the best.

You missed him. It's been a while since you've last seen him.

The last time you heard about him was when a few brawlers were gossiping about him. They were talking about how his business isn't doing so well due to the lack of customers he is getting. Poor guy; maybe he was here to sell his snow cones. Smart move, Lou.

Without thinking any further, you hastily got off the bench and dashed towards the robot. Lou stopped in his tracks as he heard your footsteps getting louder, greeting you with a gentle wave and a sweet smile.

"Oh! Hello there, Y/N, I see you spotted my snow cones from afar." Said Lou, giggling softly as he assumed. I mean, he isn't wrong, right?

You rolled your eyes as you started digging through your pockets for any leftover cash.

"Duh, this heat is killing me! Can I have a snow cone, please?"

You took out $5 from your pocket and handed it to Lou, only for him to push it away softly with a wider smile.

"Oh no, no, no, it's on the house... just for you!" Lou gave you a wink before he took out some shredded ice from his chest.

Y/N was surprised by this sudden gesture. Why was Lou giving you a free snow cone? Perhaps this was why his business had no income; he was too generous.

"Oh, uhm, thank you, but I really can't accept your offer. Besides, aren't you here to make money because of the lack of customers you were getting?"

You could see a small frown form on his face for a moment before turning back into a bright smile as he drizzled pink syrup on your snow cone.

"I am, but you're an exception!"

Lou grabbed your hand and handed you the snow cone. Before you mauled down on the icy cold treat, you noticed that it was in the form of a heart and had heart-shaped sprinkles on it. You could feel your cheeks warming up as you slowly examined them. You could hear Lou giggling softly in front of you. You looked up at him and noticed the pink circles on his face had become redder. Is he blushing?

'Aww.. He looks so cute. Wait, no, I should confront him about this.'

You took a deep breath and placed your hand on your face, trying to cover your cheeks. You just know you were as red as a tomato.

"U-uhm, Lou, what's with all the hearts?"

Lou had sparkles in his eyes as he placed a cherry on top of your snow cone.

"You're always so nice to me, Y/N! You're the first real friend I have had in a long time. and I think you're really cool and... I want to spend more time with you!"

You could see steam coming off Lou's head, which was unexpected. Is this what happens to robots when they're embarrassed? You thought it was cute.

You place your hand on top of Lou's head and pat him gently. Lou looked at you with even more sparkles in his eyes. You could feel his engine overheating, causing you to giggle softly at the sight of the adorable robot.

"Hehehe, I'd love to hang out with you too, Lou!"

Lou was stunned for a moment before jumping up and down in the air, all excited. Gosh, how can a robot be this adorable?

"Yippie! Yippie! Yippie!!!"

Lou pulled you into a tight hug, and you eventually wrapped your arms around him and returned the hug. Despite his engine overheating, he was still extremely cold somehow. Though you weren't complaining, This is even more effective than the snow cone.
