Li Xiaoru snorted heavily, "Who do you think you are? Do I need you to watch over me?"

Sanmei sat back on the bed and started combing her hair again, "If you don't have any intentions towards my brother-in-law, do you think I have nothing better to do than watch you? You really think everyone loves you!"

"Sanmei, you..." People in the factory either flattered her or gave face to her father. No one had ever spoken to Li Xiaoru like this. Li Xiaoru pointed at Sanmei, shaking with anger.

Sanmei rolled her eyes secretly, and after her hair dried, she went to sleep.

Early the next morning, Li Xiaoru deliberately made loud noises while getting up, causing a series of banging sounds in the room. Sanmei rubbed her eyes, stood up, and stretched her limbs, instantly becoming wide awake.

She knew Li Xiaoru was doing this on purpose, trying to disturb her sleep. However, she usually woke up early, whereas Li Xiaoru hurriedly got up just in time for work.

Having a free alarm clock wasn't bad.

Seeing that her actions had not disturbed Sanmei at all, Li Xiaoru gritted her teeth secretly. This person was so annoying, she must kick her out. Living together with her would drive her crazy.

The two left the dormitory one after the other. Sanmei headed to the workshop, while Li Xiaoru went to the office. However, they were both heading in the same direction. Li Xiaoru, watching Sanmei's back, found her more and more detestable.

"Sanmei..."

"Brother-in-law!" Sanmei turned her head and saw Wang Wei approaching.

Wang Wei handed Sanmei a bag of dumplings, "We didn't finish them last night, so we steamed them all this morning. Your second sister asked me to bring them to you."

Sanmei took it gratefully and sniffed it with a delighted expression, "Thank you, Brother-in-law."

Wang Wei nodded, turned around, and prepared to leave.

"Comrade Wang." Just as he turned around, Li Xiaoru suddenly called out.

Upon hearing her call out to Wang Wei, Sanmei abruptly turned around and stared at her intently.

Under Sanmei's piercing gaze, as if she wanted to bore a hole through her, Li Xiaoru swallowed nervously. The words she intended to say got stuck in her throat: "It's nothing. I just wanted to say that the dumplings from the state-owned restaurant must be tastier than the ones made by Sanmei's sister. If you have the time, you should go and try them."

Originally, she wanted to suggest that if Wang Wei enjoyed eating dumplings, she could invite him to the state-owned restaurant.

Fortunately, Sanmei's intense gaze reminded her that they were still in public, so she quickly changed her words.

Wang Wei gave Li Xiaoru a faint glance: What is she trying to do? Mocking them for not being able to afford the state-owned restaurant's food? Yesterday she criticized Sanmei, and now she's targeting him?

"I like to eat whatever I want. Do you really need to bother about it?" Wang Wei gave Li Xiaoru a disdainful glance and walked away without looking back.

Sanmei held the dumplings and suddenly burst into laughter.

"What are you laughing at?" Wang Wei's disdainful expression was too obvious. Li Xiaoru, who was trying to please someone for the first time, felt unjustifiably wronged, especially with Sanmei laughing beside her.

"What's so funny? I'm laughing at your thick skin! How did you talk about it last night?" Sanmei didn't expose the matter completely, after all, it was in public, and she didn't want to ruin Li Xiaoru's reputation hastily.
