Finding my hero

You flew as fast as possible and caught Katsuki as he fell towards the ground. He coughed up blood.

"K-Katsuki!!! No no no please no! Not like this! Please stay with me!" You said between tears.

"sh..ut.. up... put me down... I can still fight. You have to help that idiot.." He muttered and tried to pull himself from your grasp.

You set katsuki down and tried to fly back up to help Izuku but you couldn't get near him. The shards coming from Shigiraki kept coming at you cutting and stabbing you when you got close.

"IZUKU DONT LET GO! HOLD ON! YOU HAVE TO HOLD ONTO IT!" You screamed with all of your might.

What felt like hours was only seconds. Izuku snapped back into reality and then immediately passed out. You caught him and hid him with your body from Shigiraki who after stabbing you a few more times retreated.

Everyone was severely injured.
Shoto had burns all over his body, Izuku was a broken mess, Katsuki and endeavor had both been impaled, Aizawa was missing a leg, Gran Torino was badly beaten, and you were burnt, beaten, and had been all cut up and had stab wounds from the shards coming from shigiraki.

"Y/n your bleeding!" Iida said with worry.

"I'll be fine. We have to get them help Iida!" You shouted at him. He ran for help.

You felt like you were going to pass out from the pain for a while but you insisted on staying with the boys until they were taken to the hospital first.

Eventually you woke up the next day in pain. Recovery girl was able to heal your wounds a bit but there was a lot of damage and you lost a lot of blood. She was at least able to help with the scarring so you wouldn't end up looking like Dabi.

You were really stubborn when I came to checking on the others. The doctors tried to get you to stay in bed but you wouldn't listen. You were bandaged nearly from head to toe and you couldn't walk so you wheeled yourself around the hospital to each of the boys bedsides.

Izuku looked almost at peace but Yagi said he was discussing something with the past wielders and that it was important. You patted Izuku on the head.
"You did good Izu, you held on just like I told you. Come back to us soon okay." You said and kissed his cheek before rolling away.

Next was Shoto who was surprisingly awake, but he was burnt really badly and he couldn't really speak so you just spoke to him.

You held his cool hand which hadn't gotten burned.
"I'm so sorry you had to go through that. You fought so well even though it was so painful. I'm so glad I was there to help, I promise I always will be. You mean so much to me Shoto." You said and kissed his hand. He tried to talk but you stopped him as it could make the damage worse.
You said goodbye and rolled away.

You rolled into Katsuki's room.
"Hello dear." Mitsuki said when you showed up, she looked frightened to see you like this but only for a moment.

"Hello Ms. Bakugo..... I'm so sorry I let him get this hurt." You said with your head hung.

"Oh I know my Katsuki, I'm sure he was a pain the whole time. My boy doesn't like to make anything easy. But I heard that you caught him, and stayed with him the entire time and even rode with him to the hospital despite how hurt you were. And look at you dear. He's lucky to have a girl like you in his life." She said with a small smile.
You blushed at her compliment.

"You should've seen him... it was incredible... he's incredible..." you said looking at him.
She smiled at you.

"Would you mind staying with him for a bit? I haven't eaten since last night and his father was out of town on business and he can't get back with all this craziness.." she said.
"Of course Ms. Bakugo... it would be my pleasure." You replied.
She smiled and left the room, closing the door behind her.

You rolled over to his bed side and held his limp hand.

"Damn it Katsuki why did you do that? Why did you put yourself between them?.... You've changed... I've never seen anything like that... I didn't know your quirk could be so beautiful....but you're beautiful so I don't know why I'm surprised. But why did you have to sacrifice yourself? Don't you know how much we all need you... how much I need you... please be okay Kats..." you were in tears holding onto his hand.

His mom came back and you said goodbye. You were exhausted. You finally made your way back to your room and when you got there it was full of your classmates.

"Y/n! We saw your room was empty and we thought..." Mina said in tears.

Kaminari and Kirishima helped you get back into bed.

"Thanks guys." You said and they both looked at you with worry.

"I was worried after you got so hurt... I didn't know where you'd ended up or if you'd lost too much blood." Iida said.

"He told us about your rare blood type! Why are you trying to be a hero if you're always in that much danger?!" Sue asked.

It didn't take long to come up with a response.

"Being a hero is in my blood. It's all I know. I've never wanted to do anything but help people. If I let a stupid thing like blood loss get in the way of my dreams then I'd be pretty pathetic." You said.

"Y/n you're so awesome!" Kiri said.

You finally got most of the class to leave but Denki and Kirishima. They were really worried about you.

"When Iida told us about what happened we were kind of surprised that you'd stayed with Bakugo... I thought you two didn't really get along anymore." Denki said.

"Yeah... I can't really explain it but..things have changed." You said.

You guys talked and they tried to get more answers from you about why Izuku was targeted and why you and Bakugo knew to protect him. You kept avoiding the answers and dodging all their questions and they finally gave up.

"I think it's time you boys let her get some rest. She's been through a lot." All might said at the door.

They both nodded but before Denki left he bent down and kissed you on the cheek.
"I'm so glad you're okay. Please don't scare me like that again." He whispered before leaving.

Yagi sat down and spoke to you about everything, he told you about everyone's injuries and who had been lost to the fight. It was hard to hear but you needed to know.

"So Mirko is she here?" You asked.

"She is, she's been awake the whole time. Endeavor cauterized her wounds during the battle so she's fighting off infection and they're keeping her in a closed off unit. But we were able to tell her what happened and she did want to send you a message." He said before continuing.

"She said she was very proud of you and she was glad you're alright. She ahem also said she was glad you protected your boyfriends.... And then she added that you are an absolute badass for being able to stand the pain of having your wounds cauterized because it hurts like a bitch." He told you.

You blushed when he mentioned your "boyfriends"but he didn't push the issue.

Finally you were able to sleep.
