Hello everyone! This chapter is a quick intervention to showcase some artwork and an announcement.

I know I abruptly stopped updating this story. It's because I got caught up with real life studies and personal issues.

However, I still want to continue working on Attention for the Background Character. I want to share my story as widely as I can, and I hope one day that wish will come true. But due real life, it may take a bit longer than I want...

Whatever, I'm still wishful!

In the meantime, I want to share some art and concepts I made, and explain some design choices!

Here's the old cover!

Originally, the story was suppose to be called "Spotlight for the Background Character"

The backdrop was going to be red curtains. As if Violette was on stage, her role as the main character of her own story standing center stage. However, I wasn't such a fan of how low quality the background was. It was a bit rough to the eyes.

The title was also a bit cheesy, I felt like I was trying too hard to tie the themes of having the spotlight too much. And now that I'm envisioning the story better, the title doesn't fit in as much anymore. Honestly, choosing between "Attention" and "Spotlight" for the keyword in the title was the hardest part of publishing.

In the end, I chose "Attention" since it could work as irony that a background character with little relevance to the plot was getting the attention for once.

Anyways, this is the cover with out the texts!

The brighter background is more pleasing to look at than the dim curtains, but that is my opinion! I prefer brighter colors!

I chose a yellow dress because it contrasts her purple hair. The art is somewhat outdated, but I don't want to look back so I'll just keep it as it is ( ̄o ̄) . z Z
