2 Months After Mahiro's Death, Region: The Mula Region

Kai stood at the edge of the forest, the same forest where he had broken down just weeks before. His eyes, once filled with hope and determination, now burned with a fiery madness. The pain of losing Mahiro had twisted his resolve into something dark and vengeful.

His army, loyal and unwavering, awaited his command. They sensed the shift in their leader, the transformation from a man seeking peace to a force bent on destruction. The air was thick with anticipation as they prepared for the assault.

Kai turned to Agitó, the massive hairless beast with blades on its hands, and Banzuko, the towering figure with flaming eyes and red fur. "Today, we finish what we started," he declared, his voice cold and resolute. "No mercy, no hesitation. We will burn the Mula Region to the ground."

"Hail Kai!" his men roared, their voices echoing through the forest. The beasts growled in agreement, their eyes gleaming with destructive intent.

As the first light of dawn broke, Kai led his army towards the heart of the Mula Region. The townsfolk, unaware of the impending doom, went about their daily lives. It was a calm morning, soon to be shattered by the fires of vengeance.

"Agitó, Banzuko—begin the assault!" Kai commanded, his eyes fixed on the horizon. The beasts roared and charged forward, their immense forms tearing through the landscape. Agitó's blades slashed through buildings and defenses, while Banzuko's fiery breath set everything ablaze.

Kai's army followed, their burning spears lighting up the town as they moved through it like a relentless storm. Screams filled the air as chaos erupted, the peaceful town of Maelis transforming into a hellscape.

Kai watched with a twisted satisfaction, his mind numbed to the suffering around him. He had lost everything, and now he would make sure the world felt his pain.

As the flames spread, consuming everything in their path, Kai leaped onto Banzuko's back. "Take to the skies!" he shouted. Agitó and Banzuko obeyed, their powerful limbs propelling them upwards. From the sky, the devastation below was even more apparent.

Kai raised his hands, channeling his rage and sorrow. "Burn it all!" he screamed. Agitó and Banzuko unleashed torrents of flame, the fire reaching thousands of feet into the air. The entire Mula Region became a sea of fire, not a single part spared from the inferno.

In the midst of the destruction, Kai's friends, Kali and V, managed to escape. They watched in horror from a safe distance, unable to comprehend the magnitude of Kai's madness. The town they had tried to protect was now a smoldering ruin.

As the fires began to die down, the sky filled with thick, black smoke, Kai descended with his beasts, landing in the charred remains of what once was. His army stood victorious, though the cost of their victory weighed heavily on the few who still clung to their humanity.

Before Kai could revel in his twisted triumph, two soldiers approached from the shadows. Moving swiftly, they knocked Kai unconscious, binding his hands and feet. Agitó and Banzuko roared in protest, but the soldiers, skilled and prepared, managed to subdue the beasts with tranquilizing darts.

Kai awoke in a dimly lit underground prison, heavy chains binding him to the cold stone walls. His head throbbed, and as his vision cleared, he saw familiar faces standing before him—Kali, V, Koba, and a group of guards.

"Kai," Kali said, her voice trembling with a mix of anger and sorrow. "What have you done?"

V's eyes were filled with tears, her voice barely a whisper. "Why, Kai? Why did you break your promise?"

Kai's heart ached at the sight of his friends, their faces etched with disappointment and grief. The weight of his actions crashed down on him, and for the first time, he felt the full impact of his madness.

Koba stepped forward, his expression stern. "We can't let you continue this path of destruction, Kai. You need to be stopped."

Kai hung his head, the chains clinking softly. He had become a prisoner of his own rage, a shadow of the man he once was. As the reality of his situation sank in, he knew there was no easy path forward.
