"are you okay?" Bree rushes over to her brother.
"I'm fine" Tim brushes off.
"you almost died" Bree argues.
"I'm fine, peaches, I promise" Tim says.
"you better be" Bree scoffs.
"seriously, I'm okay" Tim promises.
Bree sighs, looking him over to see for herself if he is indeed fine.
"okay" Bree relents, deciding that he is fine.
"you're worse than Angela" Tim rolls his eyes.
"how dare I want my older brother alive" Bree giggles.
"please, you just want someone to complain to about your terrible love life" Tim answers.
"my love life isn't terrible" Bree argues.
"every guy you date is a toxic asshole" Tim corrects.
"... touche" Bree murmurs, sheepishly.
[Time Skip]
"what's up?" Bree asks, entering Sergeant Grey's office.
"is that how you talk to a superior?" Grey raises an eyebrow, amused.
"you're not my superior, everyone knows SWAT is above patrol" Bree giggles.
"still can't believe you betrayed us for them" Grey teases.
"oh come on, we've saved your asses more than once" Bree grins.
"yeah, yeah" Grey rolls his eyes.
"so what's going on?" Bree inquires.
"Bishop just resigned" Grey starts.
"oh right, because of lying about her brother" Bree remembers.
"how do you know that?" Grey asks.
"just because I'm part of SWAT doesn't mean I don't know all about patrol drama" Bree smirks.
"ah, of course" Grey nods.
"so Bishop resigned, what's that gotta do with me?" Bree inquires.
"brass wants you to be Nolan's new training officer" Grey announces.
"Nolan? The 40 year old rook trouble magnet?" Bree clarifies.
"yup" Grey nods.
"and brass knows I'm on SWAT now, right?" Bree giggles.
"brass is aware, but they were hoping you could be a middle man between SWAT and patrol" Grey answers.
"oh, this is all about the time we kicked your asses at volleyball" Bree grins.
"that volleyball game got violent" Grey shakes his head "and relations with SWAT have only gotten worse"
"so I'm playin' middle man because I'm beloved everywhere I go?" Bree smirks.
"you could put it like that, or you could put it as we ran out of TOs and you were our last resort" Grey bites back, playfully.
"I'm gonna go with the former" Bree decides.
"excellent, roll call is in fifteen minutes" Grey says, standing up.
"w-wait, what? I just worked 24 hours on SWAT, I'm going home" Bree pouts.
"not anymore you're not" Grey answers.
"but I'm tired" Bree whines.
"at least you're beloved" Grey teases.
