1 Time Bree Taught Tim Something
Bree wakes up at 2 am, sitting upright in bed.
Her harsh gasps for breath are the only thing real she can here.
But she can hear screaming, her mom's screaming.
It echoes through her brain, filling her head with memories, bad memories.
She can feel the scar on the back of her head vibrating in pain, like it was just hit again.
"shit, shit, shit" Bree whimpers over and over again.
Bradfords don't cry.
Bradfords don't cry.
Bradfords don't cry.
"stop, stop, stop" Bree cries out into the dark of her room just as hot tears start flowing down her face.
"please, please, I didn't-"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, mom come back, please, mom"
"Mom!"

"you look a little rough" Tim comments on the drive to work.
"so do you" Bree answers.
"couldn't sleep?" Tim guesses.
"yeah... it still-" Bree stops herself.
"me too" Tim nods.
"just have to get through this wretched day" Bree sighs.

"You ever heard of a Night General?" Grey asks Nolan with Bree following after the two of them.
"No, sir." Nolan answers.
"mini Bradford?" Grey asks Bree.
"Night General Detectives respond to any major crime scene after normal business hours, they work the case until it's assigned and they have to know everything because they see everything" Bree recants.
"Sounds impressive." Nolan comments.
"It is. And most of them got the attitude to go with it." Grey says.
Bree turns when Detective Nick Armstrong enters Grey's office.
"good morning, how's your rookie year playing out?" Armstrong asks Bree.
"I'm a training officer, sir, this is my rookie, John Nolan" Bree corrects, politely.
"Oh, sorry, Nick Armstrong." Armstrong says, shaking Nolan then Bree's hands.
"Detective Armstrong is our new Night Detective. He asked for a patrol officer to show him around, help him get familiar with our division." Grey explains.
"Yeah, I just did a ten spot up in the seven-seven, so I don't know none of the players in this part of town. Hell, I don't know where to get a decent cup of coffee." Armstrong adds.
"Well, I got you covered on the coffee." Nolan says.
"and I got the rest of it" Bree promises.
"Fair enough." Armstrong smiles.
