Chapter 30- ARIELLA

I turn around to look at Lia's father, his stern expression is determined and his words as sharp as a cut from glass.

"You aren't taking her anywhere"
Mira, his wife came and held me beside her, and I see Annie coming with a tensed expression, Remi must be downstairs

"Paa whats going on?"
She said reaching her hand out to me and I hold it in mine, her hand has a little tremble.
"She is under arrest"
"And for what?"
A voice from behind that I can recognise from anywhere.
"Remington Astor you are supposed to stay out of this"
"I will but I want to know why will Ariella be arrested"
"All of you guys stopped me from questioning her and I am left with no option but to arrest her"

"Fine then Arrest me aswell"
"Annie"
I look at her standing beside me and on my other side Remi is standing, behind me is Aunt Mira and infront of me is a investigating department head, no, I think its Lia's dad, because right now, he looks nothing but a broken dad.

I lift my hands up so that he can cuff me but he shook his head and said
"I just need to question you, I said I want to arrest you because of that"
"I will answer your questions, you can take me to the bureau if you want"

"You are not taking her anywhere"
"And why not Remington Astor?"
The tension here is so bad and I want this to end, I didn't get time to recognize my feelings for whatever happened today.

"As I clearly mentioned before that, Ariella has no idea about it, neither Annie so asking them something and arresting them will be of no use"
"Look Remington, you really have helped us but that doesn't give you the right to get involved in this after I clearly mentioned that no one but the investigating department will handle it"
"And I clearly said it is some women that has blonde hair, Ariella has no blonde hair, she has Chesnut hair"

Wait aren't they brown?
"That alone doesn't sort it out"
"I answered it all on behalf of it, and Bailey's mom has personal grudges against Ariella because of her daughter, so I don't think Ariella has done anything"
"You are going against the rules"
Another lady officer from behind came and held my hand but soon she retrieved it.
I look at both Remi and Annie looking at her, no glaring at her like they will bury her alive

"Don't you dare touch her"
Annie said and she moved another step back

"But sir-"
She tried to argue and took the handcuffs out
"Take a single step towards her"
He said in a straight warning, that sent quivers down to my spine
"Forget the rules, I will kill you"
I don't know who it is directed towards but both of them sighed and moved back

"What would Ariella's fault even be?"
Aunt Mira asked and said
"The doll she has made when all of them were kids is the main-"
"Lia and Annie have the same dolls too honey"
She said but he denied
"I just want to ask-"
"There is nothing to ask, Sir"
He said with hint of anger and pushed me behind him
"And I am not letting you take her"
"I will get the arrest warr-"
"Not even then, if you do then I will make sure the case will get closed and work on it by myself"
"Thats not a good way to-"
He cut him off and stepped forward
"And if you as much dare to touch her, let alone take her, I will have no option but to prove who everyone will call next Lordship as"

"Remi wait"
Annie said leaving my hand and took her uncle away.

"Remi-"
"Killian and other doctors are treating Isa and Avery is downstairs with Creigh"
He held his hand in mine and I open my arms for him.

I should have been careful, I should have taken the messages as threat from the start, I could have stopped it, I could have stopped it yet I didn't.

He leaned in and held me up in his arms, Annie doesn't know Isa and Avery have gotten into an accident yet, and are in the same hospital.
