The next couple of days the news of the passing of Lady Laena Velaryon reached King's Landing. And right after that the news of the passing of Ser Harwin Strong and Lord Lyonel Strong.

Meya never really meet Laena. She only heard stories of her and her mother telling about their memories with each other from their youth.

But Harwin she knew. Later that day when they had told their goodbyes to one another, she ran directly to her room to write a letter to send with the raven to Harrenhal so he might read it the moment he arrived.

Dear Harwin
I know it's been a moment but I miss you already.

I miss our secret lessons we had when I was younger. I think about them a lot, actullay. Iff only Septa Marlow wasn't a pain in the ass all god damn time we would had continued doing them. "Swords fighting isn't for a princess" she would say.

I think it's unfair for you to leave. You did nothing wrong. You've never have or never will.
I don't care iff my brothers look more like you than Ser Laenor. Who cares either way. I don't really do. Blood  or looks doesn't define are your family or not. It's companionship and love that does it.

I hope you'll come back someday. Maybe visit us or something similar. Or we could visit you!

I miss you, Breakbones

Princess Meya

The letter she sent, she might never get an answer written back to her which pained her heart. Meya refused to come out of her room when she heard the news.

She sat by her window looking out over the view over the capital. Tears were silently rolling down her cheeks. "Why is life a cruel thing?" She thought to herself.

A knock was heard on her door making her wake up from her thoughts. She got up and walked over to the door and opened it. There stood her mother. "I thought I've might find you here.." Rhaenyra said and embraced her daughter in a hug. Meya put a stary of her long silver hair behind her ear. For a moment she felt safe in the arms of her mother and forgot the word for just a moment before pulling away.

"You've been in here quite a lot." Rhaenyra said to her daughter. Meya didn't bother to comment on it. She didn't wanna talk about her isolation from her family after hearing the news. "He never replied back." she said.

"Who, my sweet girl?" Rhaenyra looked curious at her. Meya didn't really tell her about her letter she sent with a raven to Harrenhal. She knew how she would react iff she once found out. But in this moment Meya didn't really care anymore.
"Breakbones" Meya said.

Referring to Harwin Strong.

The next couple of hours the night started to lay over the capital. Meya was in her room as previously. Not wanting to speak with anyone at all.

A knock was heard on her door making her roll her eyes. "Go away, mother! I'm not in the mood" she yelled and huffed. The knock was heard again which Meya chose to ignore. She heard the door crack open making her turn. She started to walk closer to see who it was.

It was Aegon.

"What the hell are you doing here?" She snapped as she dragged in him into her room and closed the door immediately. "Iff anyone saw you by my door by this hour I swear to god!"
Aegon smirked over the girl infront of him snapping and telling him off. "Are you done now?" He said as she went quiet. She gave him a dead look in the eyes. He noticed her eyes having bags under them. Her eyes were read and puffy and a mess. It looked like she had been crying.
"Don't tell me you've been crying and locked your self up in here because of your mother's lover" he commented.

"Iff you are just here to criticise you are more than welcome to get out" Meya said in disgust and pushed past him and walked over to the big window, with the beautiful view over the city. "You don't get to judge me. No one will"

Aegon looked at her for a moment. He felt both sorry for her but quickly washed it away. "Yeah no. Iff you show yourself like that in public people will talk thinking he fathered four bastards than three." He commented in disgust and shook his head. The last words stung hard in her chest over how he said it. Like she should be ashamed iff Harwin really was her father.

Meya stayed silent for a while drowning in her thoughts. Aegon looked at her in wonder. "You comments or 'concern' mean nothing to me. And I mean nothing" She replied back with the same amount disgust as he did moments before. She wasn't gonna let him boss her around or comment on how she should act or not. She is hers, not his.

Aegon rolled his eyes and began walking out of the room. "Iff you say so" he said and shook his head as he smirked and closed the door behind him.

"Have you slept anything at all?" Rhaenyra asked her daughter the moment they arrived on Driftmark.

Meya didn't really sleep well after Aegon had left her chambers. She had nightmares the whole night keeping her awake as an owl. She wore a red dress with black and gold details all over it with her hair braided into a low bun. Her eyes had bags due to the lack of sleep she's gotten. But she kept her head up.

Meya rolled her eyes over her mother's comment."Mother I'm fine, really. Don't worry about me" she said and walked off. The whole Targaryen family walked over to the place
Were the ceremony was held for the funeral of Lady Laena. Meya stood next to her two brothers with their mother standing right behind them. She looked over the crowd of people who had gathered. She spotted Aegon with his family, she spotted  Rhaenys Targaryen along with Lord Corlys. Then she spotted a man she had never seen before.

He was tall with medium long silver hair. She figured he was Laena's husband but didn't think much of it. During the ceremony he was heard laughing over something for a moment which caused many to turn their heads but it remained silent. But he carried on as if nothing had just happened.

Meya stood looked over the view of the big ocean. She heard the big waves splash up on the cliffs and the seagulls chirp. The ocean was something she had always enjoyed. It kept her calm and relaxed, also forget the world around her.

"I was surprised when I learned that out of all of Princess Rhaenyra's children, you're the only one with long silver hair"

Meya's eyes shot open and turned her head towards where she heard the voice. There stood that man again with his hand crossing over his chest as he looked curiously at her. Meya looked shyly down to the ground before looking up to the man infront of her. "Princess Meya is it?" The man asked her calmly.

Meya nodded her head slowly and fiddled with the end of her long sleeves. "Nature has it mystery, doesn't it?" The man asked her and got down to her level. "We somehow think that we have it figured out but it's yet full of suprises proving our theories right and wrong". Meya stood silent listening to his words. He was kind of right, she thought. Nature has it suprises iff you think of it.

"Meya, my sweet girl" Rhaenyra was heard walking up to them embracing her daughter in her arms. "I've looked everywhere for you, where have you been?". She asked her daughter before noticing who stood infront of her. "Uncle, how lovely to see you" she greeted him.

Uncle? Meya thought to herself. She then realised who stood before her. "You're Prince Daemon Targaryen. The brother of the king" Meya blurred out without thinking making the two adults look at her. Daemon gave a smirk at her before looking sly at Rhaenyra. "Clever girl. Looks like she's been paying attention in history, have she not?" Daemon made a comment to her. Rhaenyra's lip went into a thin line before looking and her daughter and then at him. Meya furrowed her eyebrows and looked confused.

"Meya, why don't you go and search up your brothers and pay your regards to Lady Laena's two daughters?" Rhaenyra said to her daughter while looking Daemon in the eye. Meya looked between the two of them before walking away.

"Sure mother"
