Enthralling Twilight

Chapter 2

Marabella says, "mommy you have just been very busy". Lucy kisses Marabella's forehead saying, "I know love, but I have not forgotten what tomorrow is". Marabella was excited as she soon found herself falling asleep eagerly waiting for the next day to happen; the next day Marabella went to school as Lucy prepared the house with decorations before heading to Marabella's room to hide some presents. Lucy came across various sketches of the forest and town square thinking, 'Marabella's special day should be one she will remember'. Lucy made a few phone calls as in school Marabella was feeling bored wondering why everyone around her had forgotten her special day however soon the teacher and students surprised her with a little party filled with fruit surprise and rice-crispiest snacks. Marabella says, "thank you all for making my birthday special, you are all invited to my party tonight". Later that afternoon Marabella came home to find the house empty as she found a gift box with a note left by Lucy to come over to the town square wearing the gift. As sunset approached Lucy, Marabella and everyone enjoyed the festivities and celebrations as the night filled with fireworks. Marabella thinks, 'this birthday has been so perfect, but I wish Kyan was here with me.'

In the forest Kyan was with his family as they decided to hunt; Lucy says, "we just have one more thing to do before we leave, the birthday girl to cut the cake." Marabella closed her eyes to make a wish as she blew the candle when suddenly she looked up to see everyone running away and screaming; she felt frightened trying to look for Lucy as she called out, "MOMMY! MOMMY!." Lucy saw Marabella frozen in the corner as she says, "sweetie, mommy's coming!." Just then one of the Vampires, grabbed Lucy from behind as she struggled to free herself and bit her neck as Marabella screamed in horror," NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, MOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYY!!." Kyan was shocked to see Marabella as someone was about to get her when Kyan stepped in front flashing his fangs with his red eyes saying, "nobody touches her!." The person snarled before saying, "you can't protect her brother, dad would not let our meal live." Marabella was stunned saying , "t-this is your family? you attack innocent people." Kyan was about to explain as Marabella slapped him and ran off; Kyan thinks, 'I have to go after her, she's in danger'. Marabella ran back to the cottage as she headed upstairs and locked her door crying uncontrollably. Kyan headed to the cottage as he bangs on the door saying, "Mara, open the door let me in."  Marabella told him to go away as the window smashed open with a Vampire about to attack her; Marabella opened the door as Kyan says, "stay away from her!." His eyes flashed red, and fangs came out as Marabella ran downstairs to escape from the back, but it was cornered with bloodlust Vampires saying, "you smell delicious, we cannot wait to eat you." Marabella screamed, "KYAN!." Kyan came downstairs taking Marabella's hand and flew into the sky before landing in a safe area. 

Marabella says painfully, "everything has been taken away from me, my daddy and now my mommy." Kyan says, "there must be a family out there that will look after you." Marabella says with tears in her eyes and anger in her tone, "I will never forget what your family did to me! I hate you all, Murderous Vampires." Marabella turned to walk as she slipped down a slope and hit her head against the tree. Kyan slid down trying to get her to wake up saying, "Marabella! Mara, wake up!." Kyan brought her to the hospital and used his power to compel the doctors to aid Marabella. Marabella was unconscious as Kyan stroked her cheek saying, "I'm sorry for everything and one day everything will be ok." He leaves as Marabella begins to stir; A few days later Marabella is adopted by a family as Kyan watches over her thinking, 'everything will be ok'. Kyan is soon called away for urgent business as Marabella grows up with hope for the future when suddenly there is another attack on the town from the Vampires as Marabella manages to escape but thinks with a tearfully expression, 'no matter what happens I must survive'.
