Enthralling Twilight

Chapter 3

Years have now passed as Marabella is in a club about to lite a candle as she thinks, 'I can see feel the same tragedy and nightmare I felt years back that haunts me.' Someone comes over to her and grabs her hand saying, "snap of out it!." The woman says, "unless you need a hand and in which case I would be glad to let some blood out." The woman reveals her red eyes and fangs as Marabella rolls her eyes and walks away to set up the other table. Frankie says, "you know how important today is, what are you doing to me?." Marabella replies, "of course I got it, give me a moment." She heads over to the bar and grabs a tray filled with glasses just as another girl comes over with the bottles; Frankie says, "Anna, let me have a taste of that." Marabella watches as Frankie opens the bottle and takes a sip before dropping it saying, "this taste like shit! are you messing with me or simply incompetent?." Anna nervously says, "I am really sorry, I did not me-." Marabella comes over saying, "Frankie, just leave her alone I will grab a few new bottles from the cellar and prepare the drinks." 

Frankie says, "they had better taste better or shall I say, purer or I will make your life a frothy hell, mortal." Frankie walks away as Anna bends to pick up the pieces of glass with Marabella saying, "are you OK? don't worry about her it's probably her thousandth year of menopause." Anna sighs as she says, "things are just so tough and Frankie keeps cutting my hours, I don't know how I will manage with things." After helping to clear up Marabella says, "the drinks are not going make themselves." Anna says, "I wish I was fearless like you, girl." Marabella says, "I'm not scared of Frankie, she may be a Vampire, but we all serve the same masters, the same monsters." Frankie sees a group of men entering the club as she immediately turns the other way as Marabella thinks, 'every decade the most powerful Vampire covens gather at Blood Club to renew the peace treaty.' Anna asks, "I don't know what is so special about tonight, Mara?" Marabella replies, "tonight Kyan Collins, the most powerful leader of the South Coast will be meeting with Vladimir Dragomir head of the North Coast." A group of men enter the room as Marabella turns to see them thinking, 'my parents both died at the hand of these bloodlust monsters and now I have no choice but to serve them in order to survive.' Vladimir notices Marabella who is putting the drinks on the tray as she thinks, 'any normal person would avoid looking at them, but I do not fear these monsters,' he simply walks past her as Anna goes over to bar to get some ice. Frankie snaps her finger as the men all sit to watch Marabella sing and play the guitar; Vladimir notices the tune as he growls and lets out his fangs before Marabella finishes the song. Vladimir gets up and goes on the stage as he says, "you have quite a melodic voice, how is it that someone like you is not bonded?" He walks around her as Marabella doesn't flinch with Vladimir coming closer to her neck and sniffs her saying, "mmm, you smell so good! You know the world out there is so dangerous for a young mortal like you without Vampire protection." 

Anna sees Marabella as Marabella smiles at her indicating she is OK as Vladimir gently trails his finger down her arm as she shoves him saying, "back off!." Vladimir brings out his fangs and red eyes saying, "ooh, feisty you know what I enjoy most?" Marabella looks at Vladimir replying, "I don't care what you like, but I do like to mace Vampires who can't keep their disgusting hands to themselves." Vladimir laughs saying, "you wouldn't dare, weak and pathetic mortal!." Marabella turns to leave as Vladimir grabs her arm and spins her when she pulls out her mace and squirts it into his eyes as he screams, "AH!." His men watch on as they say, "oh, shit! looks like the mortal has courage." Vladimir says, "garlic spray! You fucking bitch!." Marabella takes her guitar and leaves as a few of the men laugh as Vladmir angrily says, "it's not damn funny! It burns! Fuck!." He heads off to freshen up as Marabella comes back to the bar as Anna says, "that was badass!." Marabella laughs saying, "I just kicked his ass." A guy suddenly enters and sees Marabella laughing as he thinks, 'could it be her.... is that Marabella? My Mara?." He remembers a memory of a young woman in the garden picking flowers and smiling as he slowly walks in looking at Marabella who is still laughing with Anna before she is suddenly spooked and thinks, 'that man must be Kyan Collins leader of the South Coast.' As he comes closer to asking, "what's your name?." Marabella sees blurry images of someone calling out to her wondering, 'have I seen him before?.' She says, "Marabella, you must be Mr Collins." Kyan remembers everything from the past in which they were separated as kids as Marabella is lost in her thoughts still wondering, 'where could I have seen him before?' as she snaps out of her thoughts saying, "sorry, I... please excuse me sir." Marabella runs off as Kyan thinks, 'is it really her... why does she not remember me?.'
