Enthralling Twilight

Chapter 6

Despite Vladimir protesting to claim he is not addicted Rafael can already sense that his son is addicted as he says with his eyes darkening, "who is she? Where is she?" Vladimir replies, "I don't know, dad she's some bar maid." Rafael says, "addiction is a weakness Vladimir, see you can hunt all you want but you stay away from that girl until I find out who she is." Vladimir rolls his eyes as Rafael grabs his throat with his fangs out saying, "DO YOU UNDERSTAND?" Vladimir replies, "yes, dad." Rafael lets go of Vladimir saying, "bring out the human! My son is starving!" Soon in the boxing ring an innocent man is tossed as Vladimir attacks him pleading to be spared. Everyone watches as Vladimir sinks his fangs into the man's neck laughing and cheering him on until the human is killed. One of the men receives a call as he says, "sir, sir!" Vladimir looks at his men with blood dripping from his mouth as he yells, "SPIT IT OUT!" The men say, "it's Killian, he's been murdered, and the girl is missing." Vladimir says, "I know who is behind this, it's Kyan." Elsewhere on the south coast Marabella looked out at the sea and houses which resided in peace before Kyan soon drove over to his place. Marabella got out looking at it as Kyan went over to bring out her suitcase. Marabella went to take it as Kyan says, "I can bring it in for you." Marabella says, "I am sure I can manage." Kyan showed the stairs as Marabella sighed saying, "fine you can bring it in." 

Kyan chuckles before nodding as Marabella walked up to the front door; she didn't know why but something felt familiar. Kyan opened the door as Marabella came in looking around the place saying, "I hate to admit it, but you are meeting all of my expectations." Kyan smiles asking, "are you ready to see your room?" They head up another flight of stairs as he says, "this is yours." Marabella sees the bed, mirror and oaked-wood style walls and flooring. She drops her backpack in the corner asking, "what is this place?" Kyan replies, "I just come up here sometimes to think." Marabella sees a dream-catcher by the bed as Kyan says, "do you not like this room?" Marabella looks around again before saying, "No, I do, I just need to familiarise myself with being imprisoned- but-not- really in a strange mansion." Kyan says, "look I am sorry that it has to be this way." Marabella says, "whatever, look I know you are trying to help me but it's just-." He turns away to open a drawer taking something out saying, "I have something for you, Marabella." He hands her a small box as she takes it and opens to find a silver necklace with an amethyst stone in the centre. Marabella says, "this is just getting stranger, why are you giving me this necklace>?" She hands the box back to Kyan who takes out the necklace as Marabella says, "look, I don't need your protection, and I don't want to be bonded either." Kyan says, "and you won't be unless you offer me your blood voluntarily." Marabella looks at him with an annoyed expression as Kyan says, "look I went artificial a long time ago this necklace is just a symbol so others believe that you can't be touched." Marabella looked at Kyan noticing that he looks genuine as he says, "may I?" Marabella nods and moves her hair aside as Kyan places the necklace over her and ties it. 

Marabella turns around looking at Kyan thinking, 'he doesn't feel like a stranger but why is there something in his eyes?' As Kyan looks into Marabella he sees images of his former lover with the same eyes and face smiling saying, "I trust you." Marabella soon snaps her finger as Kyan breaks out from his trance and breathes out with Marabella asking, "are you ok, Mr Collins? You seemed a little out of it-." Kyan says, "yeah, yeah I-I will let you get some rest; you must be exhausted." He immediately heads down the stairs as Marabella says, "that was weird," he comes back up as he says, "please, call me Kyan not Mr Collins." Marabella nods saying, "ok you can call me Mara too." He nods and heads down as Marabella sits on the bed touching her necklace and takes a small nap. Later that afternoon Marabella decides to curiously explore the mansion as she sees an antique clock in the living room before hearing someone call out, "Alicia, Alicia come over here, who do you think you are?" Marabella walks downstairs as someone in the game room is playing pool as a young woman holding a glass of wine come in and hands it over to the guy. He tastes a sip before spitting it out his face disgusted by its taste. He says, "ugh, you let it get cold, you can have it." Alicia says, "I can't, Dwayne please." Dwayne says, "why not, it's your blood... do as I say Alicia because last time, I checked you were still my human." Alicia hesitates before attempting to drink it when a voice yells out, "Stop!" Marabella opens the door as Alicia and Dwayne stare at her.
