Twenty. Kissable

Nevaeh spent the whole afternoon with Angela, even staying the night in her apartment. She slept in the bed with Angie, while João was forced by his girlfriend to spend his night on the couch. He was bothered at first, but once he heard the loud giggling from his bedroom, he was content with where he was at.
The next morning, the girl was dropped off at the train station by the couple and was on her way to Madrid. She felt herself getting closer and closer to seeing her boyfriend again, and she was ecstatic. Their long-distance relationship had obviously been going well, but she loved being able to see him in person. Being able to feel his touch again, his soft hands combing their way through her hair. He promised to pick her up and already had the day planned out for the couple. Making lunch together in his kitchen— something she'd always wanted to do— and then going out for dinner together.
Once she had arrived, Vaeh called her boyfriend in order to find him. When they spotted each other, they nearly dropped everything. Nevaeh ran up and gave him a hug, his arms closing in on her and wrapping around her waist. She gave him a bunch of kisses all over, telling him how nuch she missed and loved him. It didn't matter how many times Nevaeh went to see Jude or vice versa. She'd still make a big deal out of it everytime.
"You smell good, who are you trying to impress?" Nevaeh joked once the two had let go of each other.
He gave her a look and replied, "Obviously my beautiful girlfriend."
She playfully rolled her eyes with a smile and said, "Okay, let's go bake!"

Much to their disappointment, the couple burnt the brownies they were making together. In Nevaeh's defense, it was far from her fault. While they were in the oven, she and Jude had sat on the living room's couch waiting. He was all over her, planting kisses on her lips, face, neck—everywhere. They sat there on the couch together for a long time, completely forgetting about the food they had been baking. It was the smell that helped them figure out that their brownies had not survived the oven.
"Jude, they're burning!" Nevaeh shouted, gently pushing his face away from her neck. The two ran over to the kitchen, Jude taking oven mitts and removing the pan from the oven. The two looked at each other and laughed. "I can't believe you burned our brownies."
"Yeah, well, you shouldn't have looked so kissable sitting there on the couch," he referenced the time they shared their first kiss, her being drunk and him reprimanding her to not kiss him again. She didn't remember any of it but he remembered it all, retelling the story to her whenever she asked.
"Has anyone ever told you how pretty you are?" she asked, touching his face. "You're just so kissable."
"Now I know if you were sober you would never say anything like this."
"What? I am sober, silly!" Nevaeh laughed, lightly hitting his chest while she did.
She smiled at her boyfriend, remembering how he had told her the story. "Well," she sighed, "Maybe next time. I'm gonna go shower before dinner."
