Marina and Perci swam in somber silence, the weight of their task pressing heavily on them. The journey to the shore felt longer than any Marina had ever taken, her mind swirling with memories and visions of Sam. His lifeless body floated gently beside them, a stark reminder of the cruelty of the world above.

As they neared the shore, the first rays of dawn began to pierce through the water, casting a golden glow that danced on the rippling surface. The beach was deserted, the storm having driven everyone to seek shelter. Marina and Perci carefully laid Sam's body on the sand, the waves lapping gently at his feet as if bidding him a final farewell.

Marina hovered her head just above the surface, her body swaying gently with the rhythm of the waves. She reached out, her fingers brushing the wet sand where Sam lay, her heart heavy with grief. "I'll make them pay, Sam," she whispered, her voice a promise carried by the currents.

Perci placed a comforting hand on Marina's shoulder. "We need to be careful."

Marina nodded, "I need to understand what I am now, what powers I have. Only then can I protect those I care about and avenge Sam."

Perci's eyes reflected both concern and determination. "There are ancient places under the sea, places of great power and knowledge. We need to seek out the Elders of the Deep. They might have answers."

Marina looked out over the vast ocean, the sense of a looming journey ahead. "Where do we find them?"

Perci took a deep breath. "They reside in the Abyssal Sanctum, a place few have ventured and returned from. It's said they hold the knowledge of the sea's deepest secrets and the power to awaken ancient magic within us."

With one last glance at Sam, Marina turned to the ocean, her new home and the source of her strength. "Then we must go there. Lead the way, Perci."

As they descended back into the depths, Marina felt a surge of energy she had never experienced before. The ocean seemed to respond to her presence, currents swirling around her, propelling her forward with ease. They swam for hours, passing through coral reefs teeming with life, dark trenches that whispered of forgotten tales, and vast expanses of open water.

Eventually, the ocean floor began to drop away sharply, plunging into the abyss. The water grew colder, and the light from above faded into an inky darkness. Perci paused, looking at Marina with a mixture of apprehension and encouragement. "This is the entrance to the Abyssal Sanctum. Are you ready?"

Marina nodded, her heart pounding with anticipation. "I'm ready."

Together, they descended into the depths, the pressure increasing with each meter. The darkness was almost absolute, broken only by the occasional bioluminescent glow of deep-sea creatures. Marina's scales shimmered faintly, providing a soft light that guided their way.

After what felt like an eternity, they reached a vast cavern, its entrance marked by towering pillars of ancient coral. The water inside was eerily still, a silence that seemed to echo with the weight of centuries. At the center of the cavern stood three figures, their forms shrouded in flowing robes made of seaweed and shells.

Perci approached them with reverence. "Elders of the Deep, we seek your wisdom and guidance."

The tallest of the figures stepped forward, her eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. "Persephone, daughter of the sea, and Marina, the transformed one. We have been expecting you."

Marina felt a shiver run down her spine. "You know who I am?"

The Elder nodded. "We have watched the ocean's currents, felt the ripples of your transformation. You are a Sea Singer, but something more. The magic within you is ancient, powerful, and untamed."
