As the Lake Trio wished them good luck, they prepared to send the group directly to Darkrai and Dialga, located at the Center of the Planet.
"Dialga is an opponent unlike any other. With Darkrai controlling Dialga, this will prove to be difficult if not impossible. But we have faith in you, Savior," Azelf said, its voice calm yet serious.
The group exchanged worried glances. The stakes had never been higher.
"Yes, Dialga is part of what keeps the Multiverse stable. After all, Dialga is just a label that everyone put on Time. We embody an aspect of Spirit, so we know how treacherous and dangerous this fight will be. I even dare to say that your chances of winning are 0%. But the Savior must have a plan that will resolve this dilemma," Mesprit added cheerfully, trying to inject some optimism into the grim situation.
Alex gathered everyone around and outlined his plan. They would junction together as a single unit and target Dialga. Alakazam nodded in agreement, while Elton cheered them on.
"Under any other circumstances, I would have said that plan is dumb and won't work, but since the Savior is here, something tells me that a miracle could occur. Dialga is, how we would put it, an unstoppable force. That's why we desperately hoped for Palkia to join you, because only Palkia could turn this 0% into an 85% chance of success. With Cresselia and you all on board, Darkrai would be overwhelmed. But I trust what the Savior says. Good luck," Uxie said, looking directly at Alex.
Alex, however, was beginning to think about the result once this battle was over. He knew he would have to leave this world. With a sigh, he looked at everyone and said, "It's time to go."
With that, they bid farewell to the Lake Trio and stepped into the portal, which Uxie had called the Dark Crater in where Darkrai resides. As they were enveloped by the portal’s shimmering light, they felt a mixture of dread and determination. The fate of the Multiverse rested on their shoulders, and there was no turning back now.
As they arrived at Dark Crater, the oppressive atmosphere weighed heavily on them. Darkrai soon made its presence known, calling out to them while sighing, the Red Chain adorned on its head. Everyone except Alex and Cresselia were shocked to see the fairytale monster called Darkrai turning out to be real.
"Well, well, well. We finally meet, Cresselia. Took you long enough. And judging by the message from the embodiments of Spirit, the so-called 'Savior' must be here," Darkrai said, its voice tinged with boredom.
Cresselia sharply turned to Darkrai, demanding, "Give up and fix this ugly mess you've created, Darkrai!"
Darkrai, however, found that insulting. "This is paradise. What everyone should strive for," it yelled, the intensity of its voice contrasting with its otherwise disinterested demeanor.
Elton and Chansey stepped forward, boldly declaring, "No one finds this beautiful! This is nothing but depressing."
Darkrai simply shrugged, dismissing their comments as it focused its attention on Cresselia. "I gotta admit, having unlimited power is kinda boring," Darkrai said, stretching its body lazily.
Team Light insulted Darkrai, trying to provoke a reaction, with Team Radiant soon joining in. But Darkrai found the whole ordeal to be tedious, turning its back on them.
"This is it? Is this all the Savior and his friends can muster? A Riolu as the Savior and this is his team? How dull," Darkrai said, yawning. "I was expecting something more... entertaining."
Alex, sensing an opportunity, stepped forward with a determined expression. "This ends here, Darkrai. You can't keep everyone trapped in this nightmare."
