Things were going great for Alastor and Lucifer since they had started dating. they were taking things a bit slow so only really Charlie, Vaggie and Rosie knew about the fact they were dating and whenever they decided to go out and do stuff together Charlie would just say that they had errands to run or she had sent them out to try and get them to bond more because of their "Hatred" for one another. Lucifer asked Alastor out on a date and things went as per usual, Charlie covered for them and they were having fun, They had gone out to get dinner and they were having a good conversation until Lucifer had to pause it for a moment.
L: Hey I'm just gonna go to the bathroom I'll be back in a sec okay?
A: Alright then, don't take too long!
L: Will do!
ALASTORS POV
I watched Lucifer as he left and I couldn't help but smile to myself, sure I already always smile but this time it felt much more of just a relaxing thing to do rather than a chore. I got lost in thought for a bit until I suddenly felt like someone or something was trying to choke me. It had been so long since I had felt that sensation but after a moment it clicked in my brain.... she was back
LUCIFERS POV
I was just leaving the bathroom after not only actually doing what you are supposed to but also giving myself a pep talk when I noticed someone leaving. I couldn't exactly see them much before they were gone but it kinda looked like 'Alastor???Eh it probably was just someone with a similar hair colour no need to overthink it' I headed back to the table hoping my little thought was wrong but his seat was empty and there was a napkin on the table with a note.
Lucifer I'm sorry but I don't think this thing will work between us and I have made my decision to leave you and this date. I'm going back to the hotel and I wont be telling anyone of this date going poorly... if you would like to you can tell people yourself. Goodbye.
I wanted to cry in that moment and just payed and got out of there. 'WHO THE FUCK DOES THIS GUY THINK HE IS?! I SWEAR I'M GOING TO KILL THAT COMPLETE ASS HOLE! HE COULDN'T EVEN BREAK UP WITH ME IN PERSON!' I went back to the hotel in a rage ready to beat the guy up
READER POV
Alastor hated what he had done but he knew he had no other choice. Lilith was back in hell and she found out about him dating Lucifer which she was not happy with. The whole interaction with her when he got back to the hotel was playing in his head on repeat... Lilith teleported into his room when he got back and beat the shit out of him while yelling at him for dating her ex. He had a few bruises and he had no clue what to do about any of it. How could he explain the bruises, what about the breakup? What was he going to do with Lilith back? The chain was still tight around his neck because she had only just left and it was still almost choking him. His thoughts were cut short by Lucifer swinging the door open
L: OKAY YOU BITCH WHY DID YOU-
Lucifer suddenly paused seeing the chain around Alastor's neck before it disappeared
L: Al?
A: L-Lucifer! You should go I left you that note for a reason
L: Well I can tell it wasn't because you wanted to... your crying and you had a soul chain Al
A: Just go... you were never supposed to find out about that...
Lucifer came up next to Alastor's desk, where he was sitting when he noticed the bruises Alastor had gotten
L: Alastor... where did you get those bruises?
A: Wh- It doesn't matter what matters is that you LEAVE
Each and every time he told him to leave it sounded more and more desperate and it was pretty obvious he was trying not to cry while telling him to go.
L: Alastor I'm not leaving you like this! Who owns your soul? Did they do this to you?
A: It would be better for you to not know... trust me you don't want to know.
Lucifer sat on the bed and gestured for Alastor to sit next to him and he did but clearly still wasn't to open to talking about it.
L: I want to know... I can't help if I don't know how and I'm not leaving you, I can tell you don't want me to go... Please just let me help you
A: I can't tell you... It would only hurt you
L: I don't care if it hurts me Al, it's hurting you physically and mentally and I know you hate showing any weakness but you need help
Alastor sighed before leanings his head on Lucifer's shoulder
A: You are very stubborn you know that?
L: Well so are you! I have to beg you to just let me help you! So tell me.... Please
A: Fine
He hesitated before he continued but eventually he did speak again.
A: Lilith owns my soul....
Lucifer paused and just started at the wall in shock and disbelief. His ex wife owned his boyfriends soul and that's probably what led to all of this happening
A: I said it would be better if you didn't know and that it would only hurt y-
L: Shut. Up. It's good that I know because any part of me now that had ANY hope that I could at least see her again has faded the only hope I have now to see her again is to beat the shut out if her
A: What? Aren't you sad to know your wife is back here and
L: Again, shut up. I love you now Al, nothing can change that and she hurt you. I won't let her do that again... I'll find a way to break to contract, as king of hell there's probably a way to do that.
Alastor was speechless at hearing that Lucifer had no love left for Lilith, his first ever love. He couldn't help but blush a bit at how much Lucifer loved him and that he had just said that he would get into a fight with his ex wife it took him years to get over just to protect him. Lucifer looked over at Alastor and noticed the blush on his face before he quickly looked the other way so he couldn't see his bright red face
L: Are you blushing!
A:N-No you probably just thought I was but I can assure you I'm not!
L: Oh you totally are aren't you!
A: Fiiiine shut up!
After a while of talking about the deal and stuff it was getting late and they ended up falling asleep together peacefully before the inevitable chaos that would soon ensue.
