It was a calm day at the hotel, not much was happening which gave Alastor and Lucifer the opportunity to go out for a bit. Not necessarily a date more just like a day out for the heck of it. The two were walking through hell, they were in the downtown area headed to cannibal town so Lucifer could meet Rosie. Things were going well, not only was it a calm day in the hotel but it was surprisingly calm in hell as well. Sure there was still murder and chaos but an oddly lower amount than usual making it the perfect day to go on a walk. The two chatted about things, Lucifer ranting about a recent meeting with the sins and Alastor occasionally bringing up overlord stuff.
L: Ugh meetings always take ages because some of them act like children THEN EVERYONE ACTS LIKE CHILDREN!
A: Sounds like hell inside hell
L: Yeah well it is and I've got another meeting coming up soon so yaaaay
Lucifer was being very sarcastic and it showed. After a few more moments of walking Lucifer stopped, Alastor doing the same but slightly confused by the sudden pause
L: Hey is it okay if I quickly head to the bathroom actually?
A: Of course dear, I'll just wait at that bench alright?
L: Thanks Al!
As Lucifer disappeared into a nearby building Alastor headed over to a bench and sat down. Sure this was hell which was quite a dangerous place but Alastor and Lucifer were both powerful and could easily fend for themselves if the other was gone so it didn't matter that much to leave the other alone... right?

Alastor was watching as people walked the streets of hell, a fight here and there sure but it was nothing he wasn't used to. At this point he had honestly grown to find some weird sense of comfort in the chaos, if it was gone it would feel so weird and wrong. As he thought, he noticed one sinner who wasn't just walking don the street but instead was approaching him, it took less than a second of looking at the sinner for Alastor to recognise him. Alastor froze in place when he recognised him, he knew he would be down here in hell with him but he never wanted to have to see his face again
J: So, Alastor, it's been a while since I've seen your pathetic face
Alastor stood up and approached the man, his fists clenched at his sides remembering everything he didn't want to
A: Oh you can't seriously be calling the one who killed you pathetic can you?
J: Well one thing I can say for sure was that your mother was pathet-
Alastor immediately punched him in the face when he brought up his mom
A: Don't you D̶̼̈́Ȃ̶̟̽̏R̷̭̔Ě̵̦̼ talk about her.
J: YOU LITTLE BITCH! DO YOU FORGET WHO YOU ARE TALKING TO?! I'M YOUR FATHER YOU FUCK
Alastor was staying as calm as possible to keep the upper hand, he knew his father had a short temper so if he could stay in control he should be fine. His father on the other hand was doing just as Alastor thought he would and easily flipping out, starting a full blown fight. As they fought it got harder and harder for Alastor to keep control and not let his past memories get to him but he was slipping fast. His father grabbed his hair right in between his antlers and shoved him into a wall, leaving him to fall to the floor unable to escape it any longer looking at his father with nothing but fear and hatred in his eyes. He hated that he was out in public right now for everyone to see and consider him as weak, Vox probably had cameras on him right now and would surely put this on TV later so it didn't even matter that the streets weren't as busy as usual. All he could do was hug his knees keep his eyes shut and just keep smiling, keep smiling for her no matter what, she did not deserve the fate she got and all he could do was smile for her.
J: I AM GOING TO KILL YOU JUST LIKE I SHOULD HAVE AGES AGO
He could hear his father pull out a knife, it was likely an angelic one since if it wasn't he would be back... he hated appearing so weak but he couldn't do anything else. Alastor's eyes were still tight shut but he heard his father get tackled to the ground and opened his eyes to find Lucifer there on top of him
L: GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HIM OR I WILL KILL YOU GOT IT?!
He had his horns and tail out, his eyes glowing red and normally Alastor would be taking every bit of it in but all he could do was hid his face in his knees and pull on his hair as he tried to block everything out.

Alastor managed to block it out but was startled when he suddenly felt a hand on his back, making him jump a bit. It was just Lucifer and he immediately pulled away his hand
L: Oh shit sorry I didn't mean to startle you Al...
A: Oh it's just you
He couldn't help but flop his head onto Lucifer's shoulder, Lucifer pet him a bit in response
L: Maybe we should see Rosie some other day so you can calm down a bit... you're shaking my love
A: Okay then...
Lucifer created a portal back to the hotel, specifically to Alastor's room and not the lobby so nobody could ask any questions. He sat down on the bed next to Alastor and let him rest on his shoulder, petting his head a bit to help out. Alastor had told him about his father already so he knew why he was in the state he was... it also wasn't very weird that through all of this he was still smiling even though they were alone now
He did it for his mother after all
(1021 words) AAAAAAAAAA I MEANT TO DO THIS EARLIER BUT MY BRAIN WAS EVERYWHERE TODAYYYYYYYYYYY anyway I am sorry if this isn't good wrhgbeihfqiudjbfbwbfjdbffff my brain is just out of it today, things are kind of okay for once? It feels odd- if you have anything to say about this go ahead and say it because honestly I'm not very proud of this sooooo yeahhhh
