I was having second thoughts about attending the party. I didn't know if it was right since I just heard about George today.
Ray came over to my house at around 7. She already picked out her dress.
It was a baby blue coloured knee length bodycon with glitter and sparkles. It looked really good on her and matched her perfectly.
Meanwhile I had no idea what to wear or even if I should attend the party.
"Don't tell me your having second thoughts" Ray looked at me sternly.
Nothing gets past her. I internally laughed at that.
"It's your birthday. You deserve to have some fun. Get your mind of these things and lets go" she said, grabbing my shoulders and shaking me as if to knock some senses.
Maybe I should go. Half of my birthday went terribly wrong and I had no intention of completely ruining it.
"Your right let's go. But I have no idea what to wear" I whined.
"Now that's a real problem" she stated.
Almost half an hour later, we decided on a black dress. It had open back with silver straps and it was beautiful.
"Perfect" Rachel said turning me around.
"Now all there's left to do is sneak out without your brother knowing." She added.
Mom was right. Levi could be a bit too overprotective sometimes. The idea of me attending a party was enough to drive him insane.
Last time he caught me at a party that was hosted by Dean and he pulled me home that instant and turned the house upside down.
He went ballistic and went on hours lecturing me about how dangerous parties were although he was at one most of the time.
Sneaking out was easy. All there's left to do is not get caught at one.
Although I'm not sure he will be coming to this one. Hope not.

The party was lively.
There were lights everywhere. People filled every corner. There was loud music that could be heard from outside where me and Ray were standing.
I felt anxious and my palms were sweaty. I'm not an introvert and parties were definitely my thing but right now I felt a bit scared. As if something was not right. I'm probably on edge since everything that happened like Ray said.
Ray drove us here. And let me tell you, she's a terrible driver. I took a huge bet on my life when I got on that car.
Apparently Zade was on a date with Diana so he won't be coming. I'm happy for him. I admit that there is a part of me that's hurt and still likes him but I'm confident I can move on. Besides, Diana seems like a nice girl. He deserves to be with someone he likes.
But still, I am a bit disappointed that he couldn't make it. It was my birthday afterall and we made a plan to come here tonight. A part of me hoped that he could make it.
Anyway I decided to let that go past. I came here to get my mind off things, not to add shit to my worries .
Ray pulled me inside, the music was so loud that we could barely hear our own voices. Perfect.
It's been so long since I've been to one. This party was hosted by Kyle. Ray's little crush although she does not admit it.
The moment we entered, we made our way to the dance floor. Kyle rented out a club to host this party. He and his brother Kevin were hosting this together. That means there will be a lot of seniors too.
The dance floor was filled with people. Some were dancing their hearts out, some making out on the lounge and some drinking.
Me and Ray began dancing. We were having the tine of our lives. Jumping and making weird moves to the music. Not giving a fuck about this world . All my worries seems to disappear. Sometimes we sang the lyrics. More like screaming than singing. We seemed like maniacs and it was so fun.
After hours of dancing, we were out of our breath. Our legs gave up and we were panting hard.
I missed this.
We sat on the lounge, taking a break.
"I'm. Going. To. Get. Us. a. Drink" Ray said panting hard.
I gave her a thumbs up.
She got up almost stumbling and falling, and made her way to the bar counter at the other end.
A few minutes passed and I felt good as new. Ray still didn't come so I thought to go get her.
I got up making my way towards the counter when I heard a familiar voice.
I turned around my eyes wide. As soon as I saw him, I covered my face with my purse, looking around for a place to hide.
Levi was standing by the counter, drinking beer and talking to someone.
Shit, he can't see me.
I don't want this to end up like how it did when he last found me. That would be so embarrassing. Especially when Cole and everyone is at home.
And what is he doing here!
I was lost in my thoughts. Anxious and contemplating what to do as I stayed there thinking of something. Just then, I saw Levi coming towards me when I turned around a bit, not much to show my face.
Shit shit.shit.
I gotta do something.
Conveniently a guy came towards me with a glass of whisky in his hand. He looked older than me. About 20 yrs old, with copper brown hair and blue eyes.
"What is a beautiful lady like you doing here all alone" he asked.
