"I gotta stop him" I tried to squeeze my way towards him but Zade stopped me.
"Are you serious. Just stay out of it you could get hurt" he shook me trying to get me to my senses.
"He's right Lilz. Don't get involved." Ray held me back.
"B-But I can't just watch him get hurt." Cole had a huge bruise on his left eye and his knuckles were bleeding.
Just then as if on que, the principal happen to see the commotion and screamed on top of his lungs to stop the fight. Two teachers tried to pull them apart.
All the students dispersed and went their own way after the authorities got involved.
I couldn't help but stay rigid in my place watching the scene unfold in horror.
Cole looked at me, his eyes turning soft for a second. Or was I just imagining . He then turned away and left.
He's not the Cole I know. I've never seen this side of him and it's scary. His eyes were red and he was bruised. He looked like an enraged animal. Surprisingly Dean was in a worse situation. His face was beyond recognition and he looked fucked up.
Zade pulled me away towards the locker.
"Why do you think they fought" I asked no one in particular.
"I'm not sure but it's Dean we're talking about. He probably tried to pick on him since he's new" Ray stated as if it's obvious.
"But Cole's not the type to start a fight just cause he's pissed. Hell, I've never seen him get into a fight ever until now" I ran my fingers through my hair confused.
"People change Lily. Maybe he's not the Cole you once knew. Except that fact" Zade said annoyed.
"Maybe it's easy for you to say cause your not the one who had to deal with this shit on your birthday or have your childhood friend turn out to be a complete stranger. YOU will never understand." I pushed him aside making my way to my first class Maths. Great! (Sarcasm note).
Luckily, neither Ray not Zade is in this class. I needed some time alone.
I sat at the back near to the window. I opened the window, cold breeze instantly greeting me as I let out a sign.
This is not how imagined my 18th birthday to be. It's something I always looked forward to. I'll be an adult today for Christ's sake. I don't expect some grand shit or something, just a peaceful day.
Looks like I was not even granted the luxury to think about this day being peaceful when a group of annoyingly loud girls sat before me.
"Oh My Gosh. Did you see transfer student. He's such a hottie. Even hotter than Dean." One of the girls swooned in a high pitched voice.
"Yess girl. Did you see that body. He's such a Greek god." The other with Auburn hair and green eyes said.
"Dream on girls he's mine. On just a week he'll be wagging his tail asking for more" The girl with blond hair, brown eyes and a face that's barely visible behind all that layers of makeup said and I knew her all too well. Jennifer Questa.
And Ewww...what were they even talking about.
All their dreamy talks with heart eyes was making me wanna puke right at them.
Thankfully the teacher came in right before the bile reached my throat.
"Oh didn't see you there. No wonder it smelt like trash" Jennifer turned facing me.
"Didn't know you had a weird hobby of sniffing yourself" I flipped her off as she rolled her eyes.
"You never learn do you. Don't worry I'll make sure to teach you your place bitch" she replied as her minions laughed as if adding background voice.
