Chapter 2

When going out with Adam he wasn't really the nicest. That was to be expected though. He was scrolling in his phone half the time but that reminded you of something. Emily gave you a phone!

Pulling it out you had no trouble going to create a contact. "Hey Adam?" You asked quietly, not sure he was able to hear you. He hummed out a response. "Would you like my number?" That sounded to bold of you. Knowing the answer already but you still got one. "Heaven fucking no bitch, are you out of your fucking mind?" He laughed.

You rolled your eyes at his rudeness. "Maybe I am." You shrugged as you guys continued your walk. There was more silence followed by the chatter of people. Most of it being confused on why Adam, the first dick(get it?), was talking with someone other than his friend Lute. Who was even going to tell Lite that Adam's been set up with someone?

Adam sighed and looked down at you, questioning if he should say this or not. Finally fighting the urge he said it with a mouth full of regret. "Would you..like to get ice cream?" He wanted to gag on those words but forced himself not too. Your eyes widened with shock. Should you?

"Yes. I'd like that very much." You said politely, not sure what to exactly do so you bowed respectfully towards him. "Don't ever fucking do that again." He deadpanned and you just nodded, standing straight again.

Adam switched directions and started walking to an ice cream parlor. A smile came across your face. If this was him being nice you could sure as heaven get used to it. This was one step into the improvement process.

When making it in the parlor he pulled out his wallet. Even though this was heaven and everything was all puppies and rainbows you still had to follow the rules, this wasn't going to exactly be hell, now would it?

"Think about what you want bitch." Even though he called you a name you still had a smile spread across your face. Vanilla sounded nice, or maybe cookies 'n cream? You gasped and spoke your thoughts out loud. "Mint!"

Adam blinked at you before rolling his eyes. The cashier nodded towards them for them to order. "Hello Adam! What can I get you today?" They said with a smile. "Yeah hi or whatever, can I get-" It was your turn to interrupt him. "It's quite rude to say 'can I.' Instead, try 'may i!'" You smiled at him like a mad man.

He, again, questioned his life. The cashier turned their attention towards you and just smiled. Mentally thanking you for trying to change the way he spoke. Though taking your advice he changed what he said, asking for mint chip in a cone for you and vanilla with a cone for himself.

The cashier nodded and headed back to fetch the ice cream. You turned your head towards the taller person and smiled. "Thank you. Both for changing the way you talked to the Angel and paying for the ice cream." He just rolled his eyes and paid no attention to you. "Yeah, yeah whatever bitch."

Once he finished paying and got your guys ice cream you walked out with a satisfied smile on your face. Licking the ice cream happily while he was following behind you. Walking back to the spot Sera and Emily left you guys in to do something.

Surprisingly, the sun was already going down. Getting back to the spot before the two seraphim's you tried making conversation with Adam. It ended up falling and you guys sat in the silence with the distant chatter of others walking around during sun down.

Sera and Emily got back within a few minutes of your poor attempt at small talk. Chatting with you and Adam about how it went before Sera told Emily to take you back to your apartment. Which she happily did so.

"So Adam," Sera tried talking to him, "How'd the day go with them?" She continued to have her eyes glued onto the path while she was walking him to his, luxury, apartment. "It went alright I guess." He began to mumble, looking away from the higher being.

The chatter around them began to die down as the sun had set lower into heavens horizon. "Did you really have to wear your mask all day?" Sera awkwardly said the word mask as if it was a diseased word. Hinting to Adam on how he was mostly supposed to wear it because of extermination.

"I didn't feel like that bitch was ready to see how handsome the fucking dick master was!" He chuckled out as they made it to his lovely apartment complex. Sees sighed at him, always thinking he's just a lost cause.

He acted like a teenager that has way too much confidence and control, which he very much did have too much control. That made her think. What if she just, limited his control and what he does? Might have to talk to the higher ups but she'll definitely figure it out.

Parting ways with Adam and making her way back to where she last saw you to meet Emily so they could go home. Her hands holding one another on the middle of her body. Thoughts rushing past her as she thought of how to help Adam. She snapped out of her thoughts when seeing that Emily was already there waiting for her. "Hello Emily. Ready to go?" She asked her sister calmly.

Emily nodded with her normal smile that seemed to be permanently attached to her face. "Then let go." With that, the two began walking to a high tower. Sees already had in mind what to do with the two of you tomorrow.
