“ETHAN went missing when Pearl died.”

What? Did I hear it right?

“Wait what? Pearl... died?”

Ang kanina pang malungkot nilang mukha ay lalong lumukot dahil sa mga salitang lumabas sa bibig ko. Ang dalawang kamay ko ay mabilis napunta sa bibig ko kasabay ng malakas kong pagsinghap.

“No way..”

That’s why I didn’t see her last night... and today. No way. Pearl was with us last night! What went wrong?! Oh... Pearl. I’m so sorry.

Dahlia said those people cloaked themselves in black, with black paints on their faces that’s why they couldn’t recognize them. Then, the three of them went near the huge rocks, each of them was carrying a person.

Sobrang nagulat daw sila nang mamukhaan iyong tatlo na dala-dala nila. Sam was the first to recognized them. Sila iyong humingi ng tulong sa amin na hanapin ’yong nawawala nilang kaibigan.

Nagsimula raw magtalo sina Riggs at Sam dahil ang gusto ni Riggs ay tulungan sila but Sam thought that it was too risky, since kagagaling lang din nila... namin sa attack. Nagsimula na rin silang lahat magtalo dahil lahat ay nakaramdam ulit ng takot.

That’s when the attack happened. One of those people in black cloaks heard them. Dahil sa takot ay mabilis silang tumakbo para makalayo. Three of those people were chasing after them pero huminto rin daw dahil hindi na sila mahabol.

Saglit lang silang nagpahinga, hinabol lang nila ang kanilang mga paghinga pero umalis din sila ng lugar sa takot na baka maabutan pa sila. And they were right, two cloaked person approached them and took Pearl who was the nearest.

And Pearl was murdered mercilessly in front of them.

I stopped myself from crying. Napagdesisyunan naming tatlo na lumabas at magsindi ng kandila for Pearl. Saktong pagkatapos naming dasalan si Pearl ay dumating ang boys.

Riggs quickly ran towards me. Sinalubong ko lang siya ng tipid na ngiti. Pinagmasdan ko silang mga bumalik and noticed that Cairo isn’t with them.

Iwinakli ko na lang sa isip ang pag-aalala. Masiyado na akong stress, ayaw ko nang dagdagan pa. It’s not worth it if I get stress because of him anyway.

Nagtipon-tipon kami sa sala para pagplanuhan ang paghahanap kay Louisette at Ethan. Pansin kong mabilis na napalapit si Denlee sa mga kaibigan ko. Hindi naman halatang extrovert siya. He’s good at making friends, magaling din siyang makihalubilo.
