Chapter 6: I've Missed You!(part 1)

Kendall's POV

(3 months later..)

Yes! Niall is coming home TODAY!

I am so excited!

He has been texting me at all of his breaks.

Anyway, he gets home late tonight, so today I decided to leave my house and go hang out with some old friends.

I jumped in my car and texted Keileigh .

To:Keil:)- " Hey! I'm going to hang out at Marlett Park with Andrea. See ya later! Ill text u when I come home!"

I took off out of the driveway and to the park.

I parked in one of the gravel spaces and got out.

(Today I had my hair in a messy ponytail with jean shorts on and an American Eagle shirt. I had my Converse on and my sunglasses.)

Andrea was sitting on one of the swings.

Her brown, medium length hair up in a ponytail but it was put up better than mine.

She had her basketball shorts on and a softball tee with the sleeves cut off.

Her shoes were black high tops with red lining. They said And1 on the side but it looked like Andi. (Andi is her nickname) Sunglasses shielded her eyes as she played on her phone.

"Andrea!!" I screamed as I ran towards her, dropping my stuff behind.

She got up and greeted me with a friendly hug.

"Hey sister! I missed you!"

"I missed you too!" I replied.

Me and Andrea have a lot of memories together. I have known her forever so she basically is my sister since I don't have siblings..

"Shall we get practicing?" She asked while picking up her stuff.

"We shall!" I laughed.

We started to walk from the direction I came from and I picked up my stuff I dropped.

We walked past the parking spaces and into the softball field.

(The park and softball field were connected basically.)

We threw our stuff down in the dugout.

Andrea grabbed her bright greenish yellow softball and I grabbed my bat and helmet.

"I'm warning you, I'm a little rusty!" I shouted as she walked to the pitchers mound and I walked to home plate.

"And I'm warning you, I'm pretty good!" She shouted back.

"So I've been told! Now let's do this!" I replied.

I tapped my bat on home a few times and got into position.

"Ready?" Andrea asked.

I nodded and she wound up.

Phew!!

That ball went flying by my bat.

"Strike one!" She screamed.

I threw the ball back and got back into position.

She wound up again and threw.

"Strike two!" She screamed once more.

"One more strike and your out!"

"Yeah, yeah!" I replied, rolling my eyes.

I got in position one last time.

She wound up again and threw.

Crack!!

The ball went souring to the fence.

It didn't go over but it hit the fence.

"Nice!" Andrea shouted as she ran to grab the ball.

"Thanks!" I shouted back.

I grabbed my glove from the dugout and Andrea threw me the ball.

I pitched, she was batting.

She pitched, I was batting.

We did this about five times until we were on our sixth time. It was the final time for the day.

"Last time, you ready?!" She yelled.

"Yep!"

I got into stance and waited.

"Hold on, I gotta get my arm ready. It hurts."

"Okay."

I swung my bat a couple times and got back into position.

Andrea got ready to pitch until she did a half grin.

I was questioning it but shook it off.

She wound up.

Right before the ball left her hand, I felt a chest on my back and saw hands grab my bat.

They swung with me and it went over the fence.

What? Random help?!

I quickly spun around as Andrea went to retrieve the ball.

"Niall!!!" I screamed.

I jumped into his arms. Mine around his neck and his around my waist.

He had my sunglasses on that I had put in the dugout. He Also had a red snap back on.

I giggled and took his hat off his head and put it on mine backwards.

We blushed and smiled.

"I missed you." He whispered.

"I missed you too." I sweetly said back.

Our reunion ended when Andrea threw the ball at my butt.

"Andrea!" I shouted angrily.

She laughed.

"Aww! Look at the two love birds!" She mocked.

"Let's just put our stuff away." I said.

I put my stuff in my softball bag.

Niall grabbed it when I wasn't looking though.

"You don't have to carry that." I told him.

"I want to." He said back to me and smiled.

"Thanks." I smiled.

We all sat on the swings and talked.

"Can I have my sunglasses back?" I asked Niall.

"Can I have my hat back?" He replied.

I put my hands on his hat which was on my head.

"No." I smiled.

"Then you can't have the sunglasses back." He chuckled.
