  (short chapter)

It's a few days after the incident. Not the battle.. but my attempt at suicide. Ryu and Neru are being so careful what they say around me now, it's kind of annoying, but I get where theyre coming from. Anyways, we're leaving tomorrow to live in the new place we're renting. And.. Akai is still in the car. She's starting to smell really bad, and flies are making the their way into the car. I don't know how much longer we'll be able to keep her there before she starts rotting. I'm not excited for a four hour long car drive with that smell. Right now, I'm sitting in bed, trying to Google how to kill myself in away that can't be healed. Ryuketsu's out buying groceries, and Neru is writing out a checklist for what we need to do with the new house.

"Hey.. Neru..?" I said, thinking deeply, part way through speaking. "Yes Yukki?" She turned, quickly stopping what she was doing. "Uhm.. when you found me.. was I already.. dead?" I asked. "I believe so.. why?"

"Hear me out."

Neru and I made our way to the car. We opened up the back door, and pushed the seats down. We climbed in, and pulled Akai's body towards us. "So, you want me to bring her back to life..?" Neru asked, unsure, and squeamish. "Yes." I said, determined. "I dunno Yukki..  what if she comes back in a.. violent manner."
"She won't. I know she won't. Not after her final words.." I shivered. "Eugh.. okay.." Neru reluctantly agreed, as she took Akai's hand, tugging her slightly closer, and held her glowing hand over her chest. She shut her eyes, focusing deeply. I sat, watching as the glow consumed Akai, her skin becoming almost transparent. I could see her veins and muscles. A few minutes passed by, and Neru removed her hand. "I'm not quite sure if it worked.. she might need some time before anything happens." She shifted away from Akai. "How long..?"

"I'm not sure. I'm sorry Yukki, I need to go handle things for the new house." Neru climbed out of the car and left. I looked down at Akai for a moment, then followed Neru. I entered the hotel room, looks like Ryu was back. "Hey Ryu." I said, sitting down next to the mini fridge, looking for a snack. I guess she hasn't put the food away yet. "Oh, hey Yukki. I got you a few small things while I was out." She smiled as she handed me a plastic bag. "Oh.." I opened it up and looked, a pack of sour gummy worms, an energy drink,  and a new pack of eyeliner. "Thanks Ryu." I smiled up at her, and took the stuff out. "No problem. You excited for the new house? We've been saving up for a while, so it's a real nice place. Marble everywhere. Its great." She smiled and patted my back. "Sounds.. nice." I struggled to answer so positively. I struggled to answer in general.. I'm not even sure why. I got up and entered the bathroom, looking in the mirror. I studied myself.

My hairs gotten longer, the green streaks in my hair now moved towards the middle, as my roots grew out. The once small eye bags I had, grew more prominent. The scars on my arms where thick and dark, I've gotten skinnier, from how little ive been eating. I've matured slightly more, my birthdays in a couple weeks. Maybe that's why. I looked back to my face.. I look sick. I looked down to the eyeliner Ryu got me. I haven't worn eyeliner in a while. I haven't had the energy.  I picked up the box and tore it open, taking the eyeliner out. I opened the lid, and looked at the felt tip. I lifted it to the outer corner of my eye and drew a small line, going it the end of my eyebrow, and drew a triangle, lining up with the inner corner of my eye, and filled it in. I repeated the same with my other eye. It felt good. I felt fresh. I sighed and set the eye liner down. I went back to the main living area.

"Wow! Yukki, you look so pretty!" Neru said, obviously just trying to lift my spirits. "Gee, thanks.." I pulled out the gummy worms from the plastic bag, and sat on the bed. "So where are we moving?" I asked, shoving a handle full of gummy worms into my mouth. "Okinawa." Oh geez. Okinawa? That's even longer of a drive than I'd anticipated.. Okinawa from Hiroshima.. ugh. "Yay.." I sighed.

Can't wait for a long, smelly, boring drive.
