Destiny Reunites (Sun Wukong X Reader)

A Normal Day

Pigsy hands me a bowl of noodles and gives me a thumbs up, giving his approval. I smile softly at him as I pick up my spoon and taste the noodles. My eyes light up in delight with the heavenly food in my mouth. I smile brightly while I devour the noodles and Tang only watches me eat the food at record speed with a bit of fear in his eyes. 

Like any other day, MK is gone delivering food for Pigsy, Tang reads his book beside me while eating some noodles, Mei is out partying, and Sandy is repairing his boat. 

Once I finish eating my food, Pigsy takes my plate before passing over multiple food orders to me. He gives me his signature smile letting me know, I have to deliver these for him. Even if I don't work for him, he still gives me food to survive which is pretty nice. Unlike Tang who mooches off of the pig.

I nod to Pigsy, letting him know I'll deliver it for him before picking up the bags of food and waving goodbye to the two. I step out of the small restaurant and glance down at my phone, wondering where in the city I need to go to. Multiple pins are dropped onto the map, some near and some far away. I sigh, knowing I'm gonna have to do a lot of walking and traveling to get to everywhere, especially since I have no cart, unlike MK.

However, I want to see Pigsy's shop succeed so I have to do my part too.

I plan to work my way up from closest to farthest so that way I can go home since my home is rather far. Luckily, the nearest homes I need to go to are just a simple walk away so I put in my headphones and start my long journey. 

I go from house to house dropping off the food and ensuring the customers are satisfied with their orders after a few minutes of walking. I glance back down at my phone seeing that it's gonna be a distance away from the next few houses. I scratch the back of my head, wondering how I'm going to get there in time. That's when I notice the tram coming by and I smile, getting an idea. 

I pull out my ribbon wand and use it to wrap around the end of the cart before jumping on as it passes by me quickly. I walk inside the cart and sit down on one of the chairs before glancing out the window. I watch all the people breeze by the tram, living out their lives even if there are demon attacks almost every other day. But they still enjoy their days no matter what. 

It's nice to see.

My phone's screen lights up indicating I'm getting close to the next home. I stand up and hop off of the tram but not without leaving the tram fair on the chair. I follow the directions on my phone as I go around the streets, going to multiple homes and dropping off each order.

While I do that though, I enjoy my music, humming along with it. It helps me stay focused and calm about what I need to do next. However, before I'm able to deliver to the next home, one of my earbuds pops out of my ears when a kid accidentally kicks a soccer ball over to me. I look over to the kids seeing them playing soccer and their parents taking care of them. I smile at them and kick them back their ball.

They smile brightly at me, but before they get to thank me, the sound of an ice cream cart passing by catches all of our attention. The children quickly grab their parents' hands and run to the cart, hoping to get a nice dessert.

Just as I'm about to continue on my journey, a child bumps into my leg and looks up at me, worried that I will be angry at them. Their eyes widen in fear when I squat down to their level but it quickly disappears when I give them a soft smile. That's when the child's eyes fill with some form of feeling though, I pat their head as I put a finger up to my mouth. I then dig my hand into my pocket before pulling out some cash and handing it to the child in front of me. They stare at me in confusion before a small smile forms on their face. They nod and then run over to the ice cream cart, excited for their dessert.

I watch the child get their ice cream before waving goodbye to them and continuing with my deliveries. 

However, while I'm walking, a demon ravages the city as MK and Mei fight it, doing their best to take it down. A rather large one at that as well. But, I don't even notice it with my headphones in because I'm more worried about delivering this food or else I'll have to deal with Pigsy's wrath. 

I look down at my phone, noticing it's my final delivery of the day and I smile, knowing I get to relax after it's all done. I see the tram coming up with perfect time, but before I use my ribbon wand to hop onto it, a giant piece of debris lands in between the tram cart and me.

My eyes widen and I immediately jump back as the tram speeds off and the conductor realizes they were very close to dying. I look in the direction of where the giant piece of debris came from and see the two fighting the demon as I sigh.

MK uses his staff to launch himself toward the demon before swatting it away with it. Mei gets ready to attack with her motorcycle but stops when sees me in the distance. She smiles brightly and motions for me to join them in their fight. 

I give her a simple smile and shake my head before walking away from their view, hoping to find another tram soon before the food in my hand gets cold.

Mei looks at me in confusion and looks at MK with a shrug. MK glances at me walking away before shaking his head and deciding to focus his attention on the demon damaging the city.

Luckily, the next tram came as I managed to get onto it, and just in time to deliver this food as well while it whisked me away deeper into the city. Hopefully, Pigsy is satisfied with my delivery skills and is considerate of the fact that there was a demon attack on the city.

As I sit by the window, I watch all the buildings pass by me while I get glimpses of MK's and Mei's fighting in between them. I softly smile, watching them do their thing, be so amazing, and do what they do best. Kicking butt. 

MK and Mei glow in their respective colors before they interlock their arms together and Mei swings MK toward the large demon. MK smirks and makes his staff grow ten times its size before swinging it down onto the demon. However, before I  see what happens next to everyone, a building blocks my view, and the tram takes a turn causing me to no longer see the end of the fight.

I sigh, wondering what happened next. I shake my head, deciding to ask about it the next day I see the chaotic duo. I look down at the final delivery in my hands and smile.

The tram eventually stops at a light and I glance down at my phone, noticing I'm close to the final destination. 

I leave the tram fare on the seat before getting off and walk towards the house.

As I continue with my deliveries, I don't notice that someone has been following me the entire time, hoping to catch a moment alone to speak with me though. Everywhere I go, there have just been streets full of people so no possibility of being able to speak with me.

My phone buzzes once I arrive at the address before dropping off the food. I knock on the door and walk away, smiling knowing that I did my job for Pigsy plus making Mk's life easier on him.

I look up at the sky seeing the sunset while I head home, luckily it being nearby. However, my phone buzzes with several texts from Mei asking me to hang out with MK and her after their latest win. I smile at my screen before texting back that I'll meet up with them at the arcade. 

I stuff my phone back into my pocket before continuing on my walk and I listen to my music, hoping to find another tram that'll take me back to the other side of town. I hold my hands behind me and smile, just enjoying the calmness of today. However, when I turn down a quiet street with fewer people, the person decides to take the opportunity

A person lands down behind me, though with my headphones in, I don't hear them. The person breathes heavily and looks at me with worry in their eyes. They try calling out but I keep on walking, not hearing their shouts. 

The person gets angered by it but they shake their head, deciding to just screw it. They grab my arm, causing me to stop in my tracks.

A chill runs up my spine before pulling my arm back and using my other hand to rub it. Their hand on my arm reminds me of a sensation I had hoped never to feel again.

My headphones pop out of my ears and I slowly turn back to the person as my eyes widen.

"What?"
