My eyes shot open, and I gasped. I was in a room lit with pink lights. There was a girl hunched over in the corner. "Hello?" I said, tapping her on the shoulder. Her head whipped around; she was wearing a terrifying bunny mask. I stepped back. She jumped up and kicked my chest. I slid across the room, "What the fuck!" I said coughing. She went back to her corner. I got up and tried hitting her in any way I could, but she kicked me again. I slid across the floor again and hit the wall. I screamed, she was on all fours and hopping like a rabbit. I sat up against the wall and thought. How do I get out of here? Of course, I don't know.
"Player 1!" a disembodied voice said "Fight!". The rabbit lady got up and stood up on both her feet. She had swift but shaky movements. She threw a carrot at me. Out of pure adrenaline, I caught it in my mouth. I gave her a 'Bitch, please' look and snapped the carrot in half, and spit it out. I hate carrots. I put my fists up and she nodded. I threw a punch, but she whipped me around. I tried again. She caught it but I broke her grip. She kicked me in the stomach. My head hit a window and shattered it. I tried, desperately, to stay on my feet. I looked up at her, "What are you?!" I screamed at her.
"That's Lady Luck!" the disembodied voice said again, "She was so desperate for a change in her life, that she shook the magic 8 until it broke. And that was my invention that she broke!" He screamed; his voice distorted when he screamed. "Anyway, I cursed her by having to live here in Elsewhere and she's slowly, very slowly and painfully going insane.". He started laughing, "I don't know why I told you all that?". There was a microphone crack. I looked back at Lady Luck. She punched me but, thankfully I blocked her and grabbed her arm. I punched her repeatedly, letting all my fear and anger out. I winded my arm back one final time and knocked her out.
She fell to the floor and didn't get up. She was still breathing. I walked back to a wall and slid down. "I don't know how much longer I can do this!" I cried out, but I had to keep going. I held my face in my hands and dug my nails into my skin. I started crying, Zach was right, nothing is okay about this. We're never going to get out of here.
"Cody! Are you here?". I heard Maxx yelling. I walked over to the broken window and opened the blinds. It was Maxx. I broke the rest of the glass of the window and climbed through the frame.
"Maxx!?" I screamed. He turned around, I saw a smile grow on his face. "Cody!" He screamed back. We ran towards each other and hugged. "Is it really you?!" I said, holding his shoulders. "Yes?" He said confused, "What do you mean?". I took a deep breath, "It's the longest story I could tell you, so I'll tell you when I have Zach to keep me on track.". "Well, I'm just happy you're here." He said smiling. I hugged him again. "Where's Zach?" He asked me. I stepped away from him and looked around. We were in an all-white room with LED lights fading through colors. There was another broken window, probably where Maxx came from, and another white door. "So," Maxx said, "What do you want to do?". I didn't know what to say. "Well, last time we fell asleep we got sucked into a hospital and got lobotomies, probably," I said, grabbing the bridge of my nose. "But I also don't want to do anything right now because I don't even know how long it's been since I've slept. But I won't be able to sleep because I don't know where Zach is, hell, I don't even know where we are!". Maxx ran over and hugged me again, "Cody, you need to sleep!" he yelled, shaking me a little bit. I looked around again and nodded my head, "Fine.", I said. Hopefully, I won't be as stressed. I lied down and curled up into a little ball. "Wow, are you that stressed?" Maxx asked me. "No," I said, "This is how I normally sleep.". I heard him scoff. "Alright," he said, rubbing my head. It took me a while to fall asleep, but I eventually did.
I was in a green suit. What the hell? I thought to myself. I looked around, Maxx and Zach were in orange and blue suits and had their instruments. There was a red microphone hanging in front of me. I grabbed it involuntarily. It was the weirdest sensation. I started singing and dancing. The song was about something about lighting a projector and Hannibal Lecter. My muscles were contracting, It was worse than the hourglass. I strained to look at Zach, I saw the pain in his eyes. I tried fighting whatever was controlling me and I started getting feelings in my body. I saw Maxx climb over his set. I felt my muscles contracting again. I was being pushed against the wall. Am I in another hourglass because I don't see a fucking wall! I thought to myself. I was being squeezed now; I couldn't breathe. I was squeezed until.
"No!" I screamed, shooting up from sleeping. "Oh my God.", I cupped my head in my face. "What happened?" Maxx asked. He also fell asleep; I don't blame him. "I had a nightmare.", I said. "Your voice is shaky. Are you okay?". I felt a lump in my throat, I genuinely don't know if this was a dream. "No, Maxx! I'm not okay!" I screamed "My dreams have been really vivid, like, I can still feel everything!". He looked at me. "Hey, you have a bruise on your face." He said, pointing at his face. I started pressing my face, "Ow!". There was a bruise on my cheekbone. "Holy shit," I said. I began to get tunnel vision and hyperventilate. "Cody! Calm down. It's going to be okay." He said. I didn't know what to believe anymore. Okay then, where's Zach? "Let's go find Zach, and you can tell me what happened when I tried to find you guys.". I took a deep breath. "Okay," I said. "Let's do this!". He helped me get up, and we walked over to the door and opened it. There was a blinding, white light. We spawned in a white room with orange, purple, and green. I looked at Maxx and gestured to open the door. It opened by itself. I put my hands up and stepped back. It was Zach.
