He screamed when he saw us "What are you doing here!?" He had the same voice as the one announcing Lady Luck and I fighting. "Frank!". "Who's Frank?" I asked. The projector man walked out of the wall. He walked over and hugged him. A static sound came from Frank. "Can I ask you a question?" Maxx said. "My name's Andy by the way." He was pacing back and forth. "Okay," Maxx replied, "What is all of this?". Andy spun around "Welcome to Elsewhere!" There were random spotlights on him. "A place where your hopes, fears, worries, and dreams exist simultaneously! That's amazing, isn't it?" It felt like he was trying to sell us something. "Don't look at the cameras," Frank added. He was standing with his hands behind his back. Andy glanced at him "Please make yourself at home, rest your weary bones, and feel free to explore to your heart's content!". He sat back down in his chair. "Okay, that's cool and all," I said walking towards Andy. "But how do we get out of here? We're not from here.". Frank and Andy's head tilted. "What do you mean 'get out'?" He said. He had the most threatening tone.
Frank snapped and the entire room went black, but all I could see was Andy. "You're going to do my bidding." He stated. Andy was holding my jaw and examining my face. I jerked my face away from his grasp. I saw his eyebrow raise. "You're going to bring Elsewhere to every corner of the earth.". I felt my blood boil "I'm not doing that." I shouted. "Oh, well that's too bad.". My body felt tingly and numb. "It's time to wake up, Cody.".
I woke up in my bed. Mateo was sleeping next to me by my hip. I pinched myself to make sure I wasn't in Elsewhere anymore. I picked up my phone and looked at the time. It was noon and I had 4 missed calls from Shay. I scrambled out of bed and ran to the living room. Shay left a note. Well, you slept late! There are groceries in the fridge. Make something or have a bowl of cereal. I don't know, eat! Love ya! :). I walked over to the fridge, took a deep breath, and opened it. It was normal "Yes!" I screamed out "I'm back home!". I made myself an omelet, it's been what felt like days since I got a notification on my phone, it was Maxx.
Maxx: Hey, REALLY weird question but did you have a dream that you were trapped in a place called Elsewhere? I know it's dumb of me to ask but, it just felt real.
Cody: Yeahhh, I did.
Cody: Text Zach, was he in your dream too?
Maxx: He was, I'll do that real quick.
I washed my plate and sat down on the couch. My heart was pounding. How do 3 people have the same dream? I heard my phone ding
Zach: You had the same dream as me and Maxx?
Cody: Yeah...
Zach: That's strange, to say the least
Zach: The only part I remember all of us being at was when we met Frank and Andy.
Cody: Yeah, other than the hospital
Cody: You remember that right?
Zach: Yeah
Zach: Cinnamon's meowing at me rn I gotta go.
I slumped lower on the couch. I started staring at the corner of the ceiling. I felt something was drawing me to it. I tried climbing the wall, I was clawing at the wallpaper. Loki and Mateo started barking at me and I snapped out of my trance. I looked over at them, I felt my mindset fire; it was like all humanity was lost. Loki was stomping his paws and looking at his and Mateo's food bowls. I rolled my eyes and fed them. I sat back on the couch and watched TV for the rest of the day.
"Cody, are you up?" I heard Shay yell from the front door. "Yeah," I replied, "You sound like you just got up! Are you sure you're not sick, when did you wake up?" She commented, "I woke up at, I think, noon.". She put the back of her hand on my forehead. "Hm, you seem fine. Maybe it was just an off morning." She reassured herself.
