Chapter 6 - Bloodbath

I entered my launch room and saw Theodosia sitting there, waiting for me, I knew that Asha could only visit one of us, but at least she gave us some last-minute advice like finding water, and trying to avoid the bloodbath, and hiding anywhere we could or run as fast as you can.

I said goodbye to Theodosia in my normal sarcastic tone, and she laughed and wished me luck, I was dressed in a Black T-shirt, a Brown Jacket, Black Cargo Pants, a pair of Black Socks, Brown Running Shoes, and a wristwatch, along with the info about the arena being dark, that the arena might be a forest.

I entered my tube and waved goodbye to Theodosia while giving her my sarcastic smile, I watched as my tube rose into the arena, I closed my eyes, and hoped for the best...

I opened my eyes when the podium stopped rising, and it honestly looked like I was in the void, I could hardly see the cornucopia and the supplies in it, the forest behind me wasn't much better, but I smiled knowing I was right about the forest, I could only see silhouette's of the tributes next to me, the cornucopia and the forest, I looked up into the sky and I saw the sun, but it looked like the sun lost half of its solar power, For Fucks Sake, when Artulia said it was dark, I didn't realize it was this dark!

As my eyes started to adjust and the darkness started to lighten, I spotted a hand-axe and a hatchet in the cornucopia, I looked left and right looking for Laura, she was four podiums to my left, Next to me was Stephen and Ruby, while Laura was in between Viktor and Nano.

The countdown was 30 seconds and it was now 25 seconds, I started to think about what I was going to do in a few seconds, I noticed the flashlights around the clearing, the same ones mentioned last night, I could run out of the clearing, but without a light, I would certainly run into a tree, so when the countdown reached 10 seconds, I made my plan.

I had done a bunch of stupid shit in the past, but this was going to be the stupidest shit I will ever do. 0

The gong sounded and everyone bolted for it, and I bolted for the cornucopia with the fastest speed I have run in my whole lifetime.

I dove onto the ground and tumbled as I grabbed a flashlight, turned it on, and shone it around and saw a backpack not too far from me, I stood up ran to it picked it up, and threw it onto my shoulder, I shined my light over to a side of the clearing seeing Paladin stabbing Avis, and Stephen was bashing Rhode's head into a crate after he started begging him for morphling, I decided to grab the axes I examined earlier and bolted into the cornucopia, I quickly grabbed the hand-axe before grabbing the Hatchet before putting it into my backpack, I grabbed a block of cheese and 5 packs of crackers, I looked over to see Viktor dead body with Sapphire near him holding a bloodied spear, Celina was not far with Bait slicing Neck Open, Berry was attacking Nano, but he stabbed her in self-defense, Juliet had gotten her neck snapped by Cass.

As I ran out I looked over to my right and saw Virago charging at me with a sword, but then fell onto the ground spitting blood from his mouth, I saw he had an Arrow in his back, I looked forward and saw that Adonis was reloading his bow, I immediately tackled him and beat the ever living shit out of him, making his nose bleed and giving him a black eye, but before I could give the finishing blow with my hand-axe, I heard Sapphire yell "HEY! GET HIM!" so I bolted for the woods without killing Adonis. 

I ran through the thick forest, running as fast as my legs could handle, I made sure to use my flashlight to guide my way, I saw a tree with a cave near the roots, so I dove in there, turning off the light, and waited for the careers to pass and when they did pass, I checked my bag.

There was a pack of matches, an empty bottle of water, the 5 packs of crackers, the block of cheese I snagged, enough rope for a noose, and a pack of AA Batteries.

I quickly put back the supplies into my bag and passed out, not noticing the seven cannons going off in the distance.

12 Hours Later

I woke to the Fallen and looked up into the sky seeing the fallen despite the darkness.
