We got up at 8:00 AM and decided to look for a water source, as we needed water badly, dehydration would kill us both if we didn't get water soon.
We started to search the whole arena, not finding a single source of water, as we were thinking about checking the cornucopia, we heard voices and went in the direction of those voices, as we approached we could hear that it was kids from 3 and 5.
"Talia, hurry up! The careers might find us!" Nano said, impatiently
"Nano, shut up! Setting up Landmines is hard, especially in the dark!" Talia replied
"Hurry up, this is one of the last mines we have until we have covered the whole arena!" Gen said
"Both of you be quiet! It's done anyways!" Talia said as she put dirt carefully in the hole
"Good, now let's go!" Nano said as they ran off, we checked the path that they were just in and saw that there were many landmines in this area.
As we went back to the cave with no water at all, I noticed a few mines near the cave, we made a note to remember where these mines were so we didn't step on them, as we entered the cave I heard running and immediately hid ourselves by the entrance of the cave, while still watching the outside.
As the footsteps grew louder I realized it was the kids from 3 and 5 getting chased by the Careers, I covered my mouth with my hand, I heard a cannon sound, and a backpack fell into the cave, I picked it up, as soon as the careers passed chasing after the rest of the kids from 3 and 5, I checked the bag.
Not even a bottle of water, just some bread, rope, and a lighter, I threw the bag into the side of the cave and laid down, pissed at how we didn't get water at all, I knew that sponsors would be useless, the only thing we're known for is my sarcasm and Laura's anxiety.
I gave up then and there at 6:00 PM and laid down pissed that I was going to die from dehydration until I heard the all too familiar sound of a sponsor coming, I sat up and Laura did too as we ran out of the cave and saw the Sponsor bag there on the floor next to the cave, I noticed that this bag was bigger than your average Sponsor Bag, Laura immediately grabbed the bag and opened it inside the cave, while I just watched her open it.
As she opened I think I might have jumped for joy when I saw 10 full bottles of water.
"Give me a bottle!" I screamed in dehydration as she passed me a bottle, the second she handed me the water, I drank half the bottle in under 2 minutes, before closing the bottle and sitting down, we both had our flashlights so we could tell how much water we had left.
"Who's... Cissa?" Laura asks out of nowhere which made me spit out what I was drinking
"W-w-what?" I cough out
"Who is Cissa? It's signed that on the sponsor" She questioned
"N-nobody," I lie
"As if, I heard you say Cissa during the parade!" She yells at me
"Shit! She heard that! How am I going to explain it to her!?" I thought
"Hand me the note!" I yell and she passes me the note I read it

I would be lying if I said I wasn't blushing, I mean I haven't talked to her in over 4 years and this is how she greets me
"Hey! Hick! Who is Cissa!" She yelled
"Will you promise to shut up about it for tonight?" I say reluctantly
"Fine! I will!" She says
"....Her name is Narcissa Moriko, she a friend who used to live in 7, in the lodging house I lived at, but not anymore," I say after I had sighed
"What do you mean not anymore," She asks again
"She moved to the Capitol, to study at the 'Academy', this is the first time I've seen her in 4 years," I said
"AND SHE ONLY NOW CONTACTED YOU!! WHAT A VERY GOOD FRIEND!!" She yelled pissed, I wouldn't blame her, many people would see her as selfish and shallow for abounding us like that
"Can't blame her, she told us if she accepted to live in the Capitol, she would not be able to go back to 7 or contact anyone there, until she finished her studies," I say, as memories fly back into my mind
"STILL! SHE DECIDED TO LIVE IN THE CAPITOL! SHE CHOOSE TO ABOUNDED YOU ALL!" She yells
"SHE, DIDN'T DECIDE ANYTHING!" I yell back at her
"i-I c-convinced her to go to the Capitol," I say, remembering the day she told us.
"Really? Why?" She asks, confused about why I would convince her to live in the Capitol
"She deserved a better life than the one she got, so Me, Silver, Conny, Shade, Cypress, Timber, Willow, and the rest, convinced her to go, she has a reason to come back to 7, basically all her family is there, all of us," I said, tears in my eyes, knowing I might never get to say, Goodbye to her, and k-, nevermind.
We sat there in silence not saying a word to each other, Laura kept on apologizing to me about thinking Cissa was shallow and I accepted it, and slowly fell asleep...
In the middle of the night, I heard a mine go off in the distance, followed by a cannon, Laura and I both sat up and saw the fallen start to play in the sky...
