Ch. 28 ~ Bungee jumping

Alan's POV

When I woke up during the night, I saw that Ayan was sleeping more peacefully. Opening up to his mom and talking about his problems must have helped at least a little and I was thankful to her.

I snuggled him for the rest of the night until we were woken up by Buddy who was crawling to us with a leash in his mouth.

"So smart. You need to take a leak, right? Sleep, Ayan, I'll walk him."

"Hmm... I'm going with you." He wiped his eyes and went to the bathroom for a shower. I was just brushing my teeth as I planned to take my shower later but Ayan was inviting me in.

"Come."

"No! What if Buddy pees here?"

"He's obedient unlike someone I know. Come, just a quick shower. Nothing dirty." He knew I couldn't say no to him but this time he kept his word. He just tightly embraced me when he was fully naked and scrubbed my back.

"Yesterday was amazing, thank you so much. It made me feel so much better." I smiled and ran my hand through his wet hair.

"I love to hear this. Your mom helped us and still can help us a lot by her presence. She's really amazing and so is her son." He grinned and pinched my cheeks.

"What a flirt! Are you that happy with me so early in the morning?" I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"The happiest... Aye... you remember that today..." He immediately nodded.

"Of course, I can tell you I'm less nervous than I thought I'd be. It might be because I don't feel pressured anymore about it. I don't have to do it perfectly just to overcome my fear. If I decide at the last second, you won't jump, right? You'll stay with me." I smiled and nodded.

"I promise. I'm doing this for you as well. If you feel anxious, tell me in time and we'll stop. At least we've got Khan and Wat so we won't bother the instructor in vain." I smiled and kissed his forehead but then we heard Buddy scratching on the door and trying to get in.

"Shit! I'm done, Al! I'm going to take him and you can join us later!" I let him go and then ran after them in my tank top and sweatpants... or was the tank top Ayan's? I wasn't sure. My style has changed a lot over time.

"You weren't so far away."

"No, we have to be slow otherwise he could lose his balance. I was thinking... there is something like prosthetic legs for dogs, right? It's the second day and I can see that he'd like to run..."

"It is but it's seriously expensive. It might take a longer time to save for it but eventually we could buy it for him. It's not easy though. It'd take a long time till he'd adjust his body to it." He smiled and wrapped his hands around my neck.

"You are so awesome!" He kissed my cheek and I had to catch the leash so our friend wouldn't hurt himself.

"It'll still take a long time! I was saving up for our vacation first!" He showered me with several kisses on my face.

"That doesn't matter! I don't even know how I can ever repay you. We've got Buddy just for two days but I already feel affectionate about him. As if he had always been a part of our family."

"Our family... that sounds so nice. We started with adoption and maybe when you'll be going to work as well, we could move out to our own house. I've still got so many plans with you!" He rubbed his nose against mine and Buddy was trying to climb up on my leg but kept falling down.

"Me too, Alan. I'm not even twenty but I can see my whole future in front of my eyes. With you, me and Buddy. And maybe my sibling since my mom is really irresponsible!" I laughed. He couldn't let it go.
