let out a sigh as I looked over the papers on my desk, I looked around my office which was full on books on both sides of me and behind me, was the files of people who live here/did live here
I looked back down to the papers I was filling out, when the door was opened
"Molten?" I asked
"Not molten" I quickly looked up when I heard the response
"O-oh mom!" I said quickly getting out of my seat "I- uh hi, you caught me off guard"
"I can tell" she said with a small laugh. She shut the door and walked more into the room
I walked around the desk "How was seeing everyone?"
"It was good" she said "seeing the kids and all"
I nodded "yeah, they are a lively bunch"
"I'm shocked you can keep up with all of them" she says
"It's hard sometimes but hey that's parenting!" I say a bit nervous
"True true" she says "and how have you been?"
"I've been good" I said "better than ever"
"That's good" she says "I was worried she said, I mean after everything" her voiced saddened
"Yeah..." I said
"I mean you took it so hard" she says, putting a hand to my cheek "after that event and everything after"
"Yeah yeah" I said "I know"
"It felt like Molten was running the place" she says, backing up "but I get it, losing someone is hard"
"Yeah...." i said, letting out a deep breath "h-how are things with you?"
"Good" she says "stuttering, are you alright?"
"I mean you don't come often, busy?" I said wanting to move on
I think she understood as she went along with it "busy is one way to say it"
"So nightmare chica spread that rumor?" She asked
"What?" I asked
"That's why she was fired from what I heard" my mom added
"Oh yeah" I said "didn't find out until after"
"So Molten fired her?" She asked
"Yes" I said "he was the one who heard it".
"You can't have him doing your job all the time" she says
"I trust him" I say "plus he did my job for almost a year"
"Yes yes that is true, after you were well so sad" she says "while you were grieving"
"Mhm" I nodded my head "anything else?"
"Bryan you know I only ask about this because I care, right?" She asked
"O-of course" I said
"I understand you not wanting to talk about it but I'm your mother and worry, especially after seeing the aftermath" she explained
"I know mom" I said
She nodded "well I'll be off, I want to see Ballora"
"Okay" I said waving
"We can speak more later" she said as she opened the door
"Of course" I said with a smile that I could barely keep up
She then shut the door. I put my hands onto the desk, and let out a sigh 'why does she still have to bring it up? She knows how I feel about losing him...'
I ran my fingers though my hair before going back to work
