In a couple of weeks, Shinobu has fully recovered from her injuries. She goes back to working in her office in the Butterfly Mansion. Giyu was there for moral support, although not very good at it.

She was frustrated most of the time, his stupidity just irritates her. But she can't deny how much she missed this sort of interaction with him.

They already discussed the matter of her plans against Douma, and they both agreed that when that day comes, some will die, some will live. They have to accept the fact that death is inevitable in the final battle.

Shinobu resumes injecting poison in her system. It is her plan b, this is essential.

As she was getting the syringe ready, Giyu steps in with a look of acceptance. She was about to hide the syringe but then he comes close to her, then sits beside her.

Grabbing her arm gently, he takes the syringe then looks at her. She looks back at him, surprised that he's fully accepted the plan she has. He nods at her, before slowly inserting the needle through her skin, pushing the plunger down causing the substance to transfer from the syringe to her veins.

"Thank you..." She smiles. She's glad yet sad that he didn't go against her plan. Then she sees him grabbing another syringe, filling it up with wisteria "H-hey what are you-"

Before she could finish her sentence, Giyu injects himself with the syringe and takes the needle out as soon as it was empty. Shinobu looked at him with surprise, because of how sudden and unexpected his action was.

"No, don't.... Giyu, why?" She ask

"If it will all end in that day, then we'll go see our daughter together" He replied

Her eyes widen in surprise. Without another word, she immediately pulls him into a hug, putting her head on his shoulder and sobs. He hugs her back, and tightens his hold on her.

"I'll see you on the other side"

"I'll be there in a heart beat"
