CHRISTIAN'S POV

The whole night, I was not with Markov but with my right hand in the mafia. I did go to Markov's place, but it was a matter of minutes for him to realize what he did wrong. But, he told me something that I couldn't imagine all my life. Initially, I thought he was lying just to get on my nerves, but he swore on his children that he ain't lying. And that gesture got me thinking. I instantly asked my right hand to look into the matter himself and not to involve anyone at all.

It's 8 in the morning, and Sarah is still asleep soundly, but I haven't closed my eyes since I got back. I am 99 percent sure about what Markov said is false and deceitful, but that 1 percent chance of his being right can turn my world upside down in a matter of minutes. And the most beautiful lady sleeping in my arms as her safest place, I could lose her in a minute. And, there's nothing I have a fear of except to lose my Sarah and my Blue.

Her soft skin is glazing under the sun, and her thick eyelashes with some dried out tears that I gave her are just the perfect long lashes everyone desires g Her lips are a little darker than pink but not red, and right now, they are  forming a pout.
Her luscious brown locks are flattened around my bicep as her right cheek is on my arm slowly snuggling in the crook of my neck. Everything about my woman is just the epitome of perfection. Her hand is spread around my bare chest and is curled into a fist. I take out my phone and open up the camera to capture this moment. I am usually not a picture guy, but I want to stop this moment and keep it forever.

Her eyes open swiftly to the sunrays bombarding our room from the windows, and she looks at me.

"You're awake! Good morning, husband."

"I am. Good morning, Sarah!"

"Why are your eyes so red? Did you not sleep properly?"

"It's just the alcohol I drank last night."

"It's unusual, though. Do you want me to make you something for a hangover? Or a head massage, maybe?" I look into her eyes, which are a little too deep today.

"I am alright. Go take a shower, and then we can have breakfast with everyone. I'll check on Blue in the meantime."

"Percect. I am starving, " she says and kisses my cheek before she leaves, to take a bath.

I check my phone for a message from my right hand, but there is none. I almost took a breath of relief  that whatever Markov said was all bullshit and had no meaning at all. But my phone rang, and 'Simon' flashed on the screen. I pick up before another bell rings and....

"What is it?" I ask in a dry tone.

"Boss, what Markov last night...." he takes a fucking long pause like in a drama series.

"What about it??? Speakk up dammit speak up. "

"It's true. What he said about your wife is completely true, and I have cross checked it from one of our men in the territory, and he confirmed it."

It's true? It's fucking true about what Markov said last night. No, it can't be. It can't be.

"Boss, are you still there?"

"Don't fucking tell anyone about it Simon. If you open your mouth to someone else I will make sure to close it forever."

"Yes, boss."

My heart is pounding like never before. The anger in me is bursting like never before. The urge to end everything now and right here is too strong. But, I can't. I have to see all the proofs by myself before I do anything. He can be misleading us just to destroy me.

I wear my shirt and run to my bar. Fucking whiskey isn't working today. I took a giant gulp and left the house before Sarah came out and asked 100 questions.

If this all is true, then someone will die today from my hands. And I swear it.
