"Stay calm Sarah. Try and push. Take a deep breath."
"How the fuck am I supposed to stay calm Christian. Your twin babies are just too huge to come out of me at once. It's your planning to put 2 babies in me together. You fool."
Sarah went into labour pain this morning in her fashion studio. And her PA called me immediately. And yes, we are having twins. We came to know about this after 2months and we were too happy to keep it to ourselves.
"Can you give me morphine or something doctor. I swear I am dying. These babies are not cooperating."
"Just one more push and you will have your babies." The doctor said.
"Count with me Sarah. One......"
"One..." she repeates
"Two...."
"Twooooo...."she screams.
"And threee...."
"Fuckkkkkkkk" is what she screams. And I hear the cry of my babies. Sarah takes a deep breath and falls back on the bed. She is panting after all the hardwork she did during these 4 hours. I wish I could take every minute of pain from her.
"They are here Sarah." I could feel my eyes wet.
"They are here Christian." And she smiles with tears filling her eyes too.
"Who is gonna hold them first?" The doctor asks.
"Go ahead father. Mother is too tired." Sarah says.
"We don't know the genders of the babies doctor. We wanted to wait for them to come out first."
The doctor comes closer to me and holds me one baby"this is your daughter Mr. Knight." Before I could take up the wave of happiness. The nurse hands me the other one" And this is your son."
And I burst into tears. Sarah bursts into a laughter with tears. My family is complete. 2 daughters and a son and a beautiful wife. My babies are here. In my arms healthy and the most beautiful creation.
SARAH's POV
The babies are here. These 9 months of pregnancy were a ride of ups and downs. The morning sickness was not the worst part but not able to move was. I was a complete snowman throughout these 9 months. But seeing my babies just makes everything worthed. My daughter has Blue eyes like her elder sister Blue and their father's. My son has the most beautiful whiskey brown eyes just like his mom.
"Congratulations " Elena shows up in the room with the kids. Blue jumps up on the bed and hugs me right away. "Hey Blue. Did you miss mommy?" She nods her head and her two ponytails wiggling together. Blue might not be my biological daughter but she is my first daughter and the best thing that happened to me. Throughout these 9 months I was worried about Blue feeling ignored or alone after the babies come but Christian always said that it will never happen.
My Blue and my new babies are all around me. Lily also jumps on the bed but Niko is standing with his favourite uncle beside the bed with a bottle of water waiting for his turn to come up to me and offer me. He is small and tiny but he is a gentleman.
"Do we have names for the babies?" Elena asks me.
"We do." I say with full blown excitement.
"Our daughter will be called Indigo Knight....a synonym of her elder sister Blue. And our son will be called Damien Knight. "
"Beautiful names Sarah. All the kids come outside with me so Sarah can rest and eat something. Uncle Christian will take you out for pizza."
"Me?" Christian asks surprised.
"Yes you Christian. Let me help Sarah clean her up and change her clothes. I know you want to do it but she is delicate right now. Get her some stew or porridge along with some chicken tenders. "
And with a pouty face he leaves with Blue, Lily and Niko. "Thanks for helping Elena. I am so sore and tired. "
"It's okay Sarah. This is the most fragile time of a women's life. Promise me that you will ask me if you need anything anytime. I am here to help you like your sister would have. Okay?"
"Okay sister. Please help me clean up and take me home."
It takes me 2 hours to get ready but eventually I am ready and discharged to go home as well. The babies are already sat in their baby chairs and my Blue is sitting between them. I take the front seat and Christian driver seat. This is the best moment of my life. My babies and my love are all here with me. What else could I ask for.
"We are a team of 5 now?" Christian says.
"And we remain 5 forever."
These 4 people are like the 4 chambers of my heart. And I will do anything and everything to protect them.
