who is...she?

"here she isssss" i hear as i enter in the locker room. 

"how've you been ale?" mapi asks me.

"good thank you maps, how have you and Ingrid been?" i ask whilst side hugging her. Mapi is like my best friend, she knows everything about me. well....almost everything about me. She knows everything except my special someone- well nobody except our families know.

"We are good. are you ready for training today?" she asks as i sit down in my locker and put my cleats on. she follows me quietly like a dog most the time. but today, she seems extra chatty.

"when am i not?" i joke, she laughs aloud towards it. she nods her head as we walk out together to the training pitches. we walk out and everyone is already there, waiting very patiently for the two of us.

we start training by warming up and then we do a short session of rondo's before getting into drills. We each get partnered up with someone, and i end up with Mapi. i end up with her every time, and i dont even know how as they are randomized but whatever. We do some passing drills and then some shooting drills before getting into 5-aside games.

we finish up with training and we all walk back into the locker room together. everyone is off in there own conversation and i'm just chatting with Mapi before Patri comes up to the both of us.

"hey guyss" she says wit a big smile on her face. i give a slightly worried smile back as Mapi answers

"Hey Patrica is everything alright?" Mapi asks

"Yes yes...just wondering if you both wanted to come out tonight for dinner with the rest of the girls? We are just going to the restaurant that is down the road..you know the one? i think we have been there before but i can't really remember." she says.

"Ingrid and i will be there!" Mapi says with enthusiasm.

"and you ale?" Patri asks, turning slightly towards me.

"Uhm..." shit, i have to think of an excuse as i promised a special someone (as the girls call her) that we can have a movie night tonight and snuggle on the couch with Nala....

"uh i think my family is coming over tonight..." i say, trying to get them to believe me. which obviously doesn't work as they both look at me with their eyebrows raised before Mapi speaks.

"come on ale, you say that every time. just come out this one time, please" Mapi pleads

"i'm sorry, i promised them i would do it tonight because I've put it off for a while now...i promise to come out next time though" i say, showing a small smile on my face to try and convince them even more that i haven't

"are you sure it's your family? you say that every time and i starting to think there is a special someone in your life other than Nala..." Patri says in suspicion.

"Yea well there is no one else. Just me and Nala. that's it." i say, crossing my arms over my chest. there was no way that i was letting anyone on this team know about my special someone- and even if i did, it wouldn't be these two. If you tell them anything, the whole team will know within minutes of leaving their sides.

"then why don't you ever invite anyone over anymore, or let anyone come over. seems like your hiding something miss alexia" says Ona, joining in the conversation. Ever since i moved houses so i could live with my special someone, nobody has come over. I just want to protect her, she doesn't need a bunch of footballers that don't know her in our shared house. I don't want to risk the fact of them meeting, which is why she rarely comes to games and when she does, she is sat somewhere within the crowd so it isn't obvious who it is.

"yeah, speaking of your house, i haven't even seen your new house and you have been there for months now. and that is saying something, i'm your best friend ale." Mapi says, siding clearly with Ona

"Yeah well if you are my best friend then why are you helping Ona out over there and not me- it's not my fault i've been busy."

"yeah busy with your girlfriend" patri mumbles.

"i don't have a girlfriend." i say, standing up and throwing my bag over my shoulder.

"i'll see you guys tomorrow." i say and walk out of the room. as i walk out, i can feel the burning sensation of eyes on me, carefully watching my every step out of the room. 

when i finally reach my car, i throw my back in the back and sit in the drivers seat, opening up my phone to text my special someone

mi amor

'i'm on my way home now love. i'll see you soon x'

i send before starting the car and heading home.

i'm about ten minutes away from home when i get a text from ingrid.

'hey, i heard the conversation in the locker room and mapi told me what happened...sorry about her. i've told her not to nag you so much before but she obviously hasn't listened to me. Just whatever it is, i hope everything is okay and if you do have a secret girlfriend that nobody knows about, then that is perfectly fine. I'm always here for you if you need a chat, and i won't tell mapi anything. i love you ale x'

as i finished reading the message i had tears in my eyes. i love ingrid, she is the sweetest person ever. i focus back on the road so i can get home and snuggle up with my two most favourite people in the world.

shortly after the message i get home. i send a quick reply to ingrid, reading 'thanks ingrid, i love you x' before heading inside. 

"i'm home mi amor" i say as i place my bag down beside the door and walk into the lounge room. i see my special someone snuggled up underneath the blanket with a tired nala laying beside her.

"wow i didn't get greeted at the front door by either of you today" i laugh, as i go and sit down next to my special someone and nala. 

"we just got back from a walk, she's too tired for you today" she laughs. i shake my head and roll my eyes playfully before giving her and kiss on the lips and i rub nala's back.

"how was training today?" she asks as she scoots over and holds the blanket up for me to get under. i lean against her shoulder and wrap my arm around her waist as she lightly rests her head on my shoulder

"it was good. nice and easy today. although, the girls keep making plans and i keep telling them that i can't go with them because family is coming over, but i say that every time and they are starting to not believe me anymore." i say, as i nuzzle my head into the top of her head

"why don't you just tell them about me? or why don't you just go out with them?" she asks, running her fingers through my hair softly.

"because i want to protect you. not from them, from the world. when something gets out at matches or open training sessions, the whole world will know within hours of people knowing that. but i seriously need a new excuse, Ona was asking why i haven't invited anyone over or let anyone come over since we moved here....everyone is catching onto me and i don't know what to do." i complain.

"why don't you invite them over? it won't hurt to let them see your house"

"it's our house, and i don't really feel like sharing you with the girls yet."

"alright love. just do it whenever you're ready. i, and i'm sure the girls will wait until you are ready as well." she says as she presses a light kiss to my stomach

we finish the night with a movie marathon, watching a mix of different Disney and marvel movies, snacking on snacks and eating Chinese for dinner, before making our way to bed and snuggling all night, before tomorrow.

so...alexia has a special someone. turns out alexia did have a girlfriend after all....how long will she be able to keep it a secret for though?

kinda long chapter so don't expect every chapter to be like this!!
