Leafy found herself at another party.

This time, it was hosted by the Chi Omega sorority on campus. Ice Cube, the girl who invited her to Loser's party, also invited her to this one.

That's when Leafy realized Ice Cube was in the Chi Omega sorority. It was her party, and she was hosting it together with her friends Match, Pencil, and Ruby.

Leafy didn't mind parties. However, she didn't exactly plan on going to this one, until Firey asked her to go with him. She had no idea how the king of being antisocial scored an invite to a sorority party.

She was stupid for thinking that. Firey was cute. Of course girls would invite him to their parties.

She stayed with him for almost the whole night, though. She didn't really know anyone else. Golf Ball and Tennis Ball weren't here. She wasn't sure why- Golf Ball was pretty well known around campus for her intelligence and perseverance.

Coiny and his roommate, a short, sarcastic boy named Nickel, were also at the party. Coiny had a girl with him, a scene girl with red hair and silver streaks. Her name was Pin. Leafy had gotten along well with her that night. They talked about Coiny, Firey, and how men were confusing.

Pin even invited her to a meetup for Dungeons and Dragons Club; an offer Leafy politely declined.

The surprising thing, however, was how... calm she felt. She felt at ease with Firey around, like it was natural for her to be with him.

With Firey nearby, everything within her stilled. No anxiety. No fear.

"Do you wanna play pool?"" Firey asked her, extending a carbon fiber cue stick towards her. "With Coiny, Nickel, and I obviously."

Leafy shook her head and swirled the drink in her cup. "Not in the mood. I'm gonna head to the balcony and get some fresh air."

He offered the stick to Pin.

"I don't know how to play," she said hurriedly, waving her arms. "I'll just watch from the side."

Firey nodded his head and turned back towards the green fabric covered table, and began bickering with Nickel about how the silver haired boy set up the game.

"The fuck are you doing, you rat?" Firey chastised, running his fingers through his orange hair. "The balls aren't even in the rack!"

"Your mom wasn't saying that the other night," Nickel retorted with a huff.

"My mom is dead!"

Coiny's hand flew upwards to pinch the bridge of his nose in annoyance.

Leafy laughed nervously, opting to leave now, rather than wait for the setup of the game. Some air would be nice, and she didn't want to stick around if the bickering escalated.

She turned around and pushed open the double doors to the balcony behind them. The cool winter wind hit her immediately, and her arms rushed up to hug herself in the chill. As she was only wearing a simple black dress, she regretted not wearing a sweater.

The green haired girl stepped out towards the edge of the balcony, her heels clicking against the concrete balcony, and looked at the surroundings.

It was a nice sorority house. An array of concrete stairs extended to the first floor backyard, towards a quaint little garden. Vines ran up the sides of the house, covering the greek-style pillars with lush foliage.

Taking a small sip of her drink, she stepped forward slightly. With her free hand, she gripped the edge railings of the balcony, and peered over the edge. Some people were conversing down in the garden, away from everyone else. Their laughter broke through the still night air every couple of seconds.
