  -(Y/N)'s POV-
After a few hours of wondering around some more and shopping, the sun was starting to set. 𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘵, I thought to myself. I didn't realize how dark it was getting. Actually, you know what, I've still got some time till it's fully dark out. I'll stop at a local bar or whatever and get a quick drink. Nobody would notice me when I got home, right? And with that, I walked towards a bar Thomas told me was a good one if you wanted a cheap drink. I'm surprised he told me, especially with the way he acts towards me. The outside of the building was decorated nicely and had a sign that read: Dante's Bar.
Once I entered, I was hit the the pungent smell of alcohol and cigarettes. I sat down at the bar and waited. Eventually, a bartender came up to me. "What can I get for you today Miss?" The bartender asked as he cleaned out a glass. "I'll have an Old Fashioned please."
"Alrighty, your drink will be ready in a second."
As I waited, I decided to look around. I saw people playing poker, playing pool, drinking, singing, dancing, and doing all sorts of other fucking nonsense. As I continued to wait, l hear snippets of conversations from around the bar. None of which pique my interest enough for me to fully listen in on. But after a while, one conversation between the bartender and a man with black hair got my attention. The bartender told the guy he couldn't have any more drinks until he paid. The black haired man looked drunk out of his fucking mind with at least 9 shot glasses around him. "ugh..Whatever.." The black haired boy pulled out some money and paid him. "Sorry bud, this isn't enough. Either you pay me the full amount or I drag your ass out by that stupid jacket you're wearing." "..fuck.. if only Vinnie hadn't gambled half our damn savings.." The boy sighed and dug around his pocket but found nothing. I felt bad so I decided to step in. "I'll pay for the rest, if it's not a hassle of course.." I said as I pulled some more more out of my purse. The bartender rolled his eyes but took the money anyways. The boy looked at me before attempting to stand up and hobbled away. After a while, the bartender then sat my drink in front me. As I sipped it, I continued to look around. When something caught my eye. I saw a girl with brown hair and a grey bandanna as well as a kid with blond hair and a red hat were running from the poker table with a large bag of money in hand. As they ran, the rest of the people playing poker chased after them, spilling drinks and knocking chairs over. I finished my drink and had a few more and payed before leaving. The sky that was once a beautiful blue was now a dark, soulless black.
-Stone's POV-
I stumbled out of the crowded and noisy bar, my head spinning and my heart racing. I staggered over to the edge of the sidewalk and leaned against the wall, taking deep breaths to calm my nerves. The street was bustling with activity, full of people going about their business, but I felt alone and disconnected from it all.
I turned around and started to walk mindlessly back the way I came. I had just spent all the money we had on a night out drinking and now I had no idea how me, Vinnie, and Skipp was going to pay for food.
Well, we could eat shoes again like last night, but I doubted we would find any in the trash when it was this dark outside. Besides, they didn't even taste that good. Still, it was better than nothing. But I knew that when he got back their alleyway, Vinnie was going to give me a beating or two for wasting the group's money on alcohol and drinks. Maybe she was even going to yell at me again. Or maybe do both. Despite me being drunk, I pulled out a cigarette from a tattered cigarette box and took out my lighter and lit the cigarette. I took a puff and continued walking. 𝘑𝘦𝘦𝘻 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘥. I thought. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘶𝘵 𝘶𝘱 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘺 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴. I honestly didn't give a single fuck. I just wanted me and my friends to have enough money for food.
When I finally made my way back, Vinnie and Skipp were already sleeping on the tattered mattress. I sat down against the wall, smoked my cigarette, and thought about random shit. After a while, the cigarette was down to the filter so I dropped it onto the ground and smashed it with my heel. Since, I still wasn't tired, I decided to take a walk to the cemetery. As I walked, or more like stumped, I could hear conversations those rich snobs were having. "𝑀𝓎 𝒹𝒶𝓊𝑔𝒽𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝒾𝓈 𝓉𝑜𝓉𝒶𝓁𝓁𝓎 𝑔𝑜𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝑜 𝓌𝒾𝓃 𝑅𝒶𝓂𝓈𝒽𝒶𝒸𝓀𝓁𝑒'𝓈 𝒩𝑒𝓍𝓉 𝒯𝑜𝓅 𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝒽𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓉 𝒸𝑜𝓃𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉." "𝒩𝑜, 𝓂𝓎 𝓈𝑜𝓃 𝓌𝒾𝓁𝓁 𝓌𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒸𝑜𝓃𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉!" It was all stupid fucking arguing anyways. Nothing important. When I got to the cemetery, it was completely empty and abandoned looking. Well, what did I expect? It's a cemetery with dead bodies for fuck's sake. I walked around the graveyard until I found a good grave to sit against and took out a cigarette and tried to lite it. But of course, my lighter was as dead as the corpses around me. So, I tried finding something else to light my cigarette, but I had nothing else with me, except the pack of cigarettes and a half-empty bottle of vodka I brought with me. Guess I should head back, shouldn't I? As I got up, I heard footsteps and a gentle yet drunk voice getting closer to me from behind.
"Excuse me, can I join you for a few minutes?"
