Do It For Him

Steve was following Dustin carefully through the line, it was crowded and hot. Teens and people his age were excitedly shouting and talking. Corroded Coffin was in town, everyone was excited because the whole band started out local. Eddie Munson, the lead singer and guitarist wanted to come back home for part of his tour.

Dustin had been in his DnD club, and Steve knew him. However Steve could care less, but after adopting Dustin when his mother passed he was willing to give him anything he wanted. So when he saw that the Corroded Coffin band was coming back to Hawkins they both knew they were going. Steve kept his eyes focused on Dustin, there was a sea of teens and he didn't want to lose Dustin. They finally made it into the concert.

Steve didn't know how they made it big, but he was glad they made it out of Hawkins. He wanted to get Dustin out of it, he had always wanted out of Hawkins.

As Eddie stepped out on stage he looked over the crowd. He recognized many faces, but he was looking for one person.

Steve Harrington.

He had always had a crush on Steve, and he was hoping that because he was famous now Steve would be into him. Then he spotted him, standing beside Dustin.

He remembered getting an invite to Mrs. Henderson's funeral and he thought it out. Steve must be Dustin's guardian now.

"Hello Hawkins!" Eddie shouted into the mic. The crowd went wild. "We are excited to be back in our hometown!"

People jumped and screamed, signs were up and people were already begging for certain songs already. "This is for all the people who never believed in me, or the people here in Hawkins!" Eddie said before he began to strum.

Dustin was excitedly bouncing and singing along. Steve eventually got into it, he would sing to a few that he actually knew but otherwise he was mostly just keeping his eyes on the stage or Dustin. Eddie's chest was exposed, sweat was running down his body.

Steve blinked before turning his attention back to Dustin. They continued to jump and sing, there was a break where people could go get snacks, drinks or use the restroom. Steve helped Dustin through the crowd, they grabbed a drink and Dustin wanted a T-Shirt. While they were checking out someone screamed, they turned and there he was, Eddie, coming down the aisle.

Dustin's eyes lit up and Eddie opened his arms, Dustin went running and he wrapped himself around the teen. "Hey." Eddie grinned. "Missed ya Henderson."

"I've missed you too."

Steve waved as he came up beside him. "Are you his parent now?" Eddie asked. Steve nodded softly, and Dustin said nothing. It was clear he was happy, but sad about the situation. "I wanted to offer you both something." He handed over two VIP passes. "Come backstage after the show." He smiled and waved goodbye.

People were trying to get his autograph as he left.

Steve wasn't sure about the passes, or why Eddie wanted them both to be there but because Dustin was a minor he assumed he needed an adult with him. Dustin however was over the moon, he not only got to see his idol but he also got a VIP pass to see him after the show. Steve took Dustin back to their seats and they finished out the show. "We can go right, we can go backstage?" Dustin asked.

"Yeah, of course." Steve smiled, taking his hand. The two of them made it to the VIP pass holders line. There were a few people who had obviously paid a lot of money to get backstage, Dustin was jitterying. He didn't stop talking until they finally let them backstage, Eddie was sitting back drinking a water bottle when they walked through the door. Eddie's smile lit up, the other members of the band waved hello to Steve and Dustin. They knew them well, Steve hadn't ever interacted much with them but they went to school together.
