Steve decided at that moment he was going to figure out how to make this work for him, if Eddie was willing to make it so he was the only one who touched and used him, Steve was willing to push down his fear.

"Can we take Dustin shopping for some things in his dorm room? Since its a private school and lets them live on campus I would like him to have nice things... Sir.."

Eddie lifted his head up as Steve walked into the sitting room from the kitchen of the hotel with a tray of two drinks.

Eddie took one of the drinks off the tray and grinned as he patted the spot beside him. "I felt bad when I took Dustin in, my parents didn't help me financially anymore and I was working multiple jobs.. He still didn't have nice clothes and the place we were at was not what I would consider nice... I was just glad he had good friends.. But now.. Now we can change that for him, and going to a performing arts private highschool of all places. I know with you being his dad that it will be better for him, a rockstar as a parent bu-."

Eddie grinned wide, "You just called me his dad."

Steve froze, he brought his glass to his lips to try and silence himself for a moment without coming off as rude. Yet he had in fact said that.

"Y-yeh I did... b-but anyway are you okay if we do that? I think it would help him too, if we pick out stuff for his room. So he doesn't feel so lonely and stuff, or that we are just getting rid of him you know I- I don't want him to feel alone.. I-."

Tears started to well up, Eddie watched Steve do his best to hide his panic. "Stevie," Eddie tipped his chin up, Steve looked up at him softly, "we can get him some stuff, let him pick it out too. He will be okay, you'll video call, we can go visit him."

"You-you'll let me visit him?" Steve asked, excitement and uncertainty blending together in a way that caused his voice to go a bit high pitched. Eddie chuckled but nodded.

"I'm not that big of a monster to rip you from your kid."

"You said you would hurt him."

"You really think I was ever going to do that?"

Steve stiffened, the real answer would probably get him slapped. Yet he had felt child murder was too far even for Eddie.

"Well I- I uhm.."

"Don't answer that." Eddie remarked. "We can get him things for his new dorm room, I promise. We can even get him a silly little build a pet thing. Put your voice in it."

"Build a Bear?"

"Yeah that." Eddie smiled. "You are right though, me being his dad should win him some brownie points from at least some of his classmates. The kid is smart though, and a natural, that I never lied about."

Steve looked him over. That answer however made him feel better.

"We can look online and order him a few things, and then we can also go out and shop, we may want to wait till we are closer to the actual school for like the bigger things. We can also take him to get some more clothing. We can get our little actor some nice things for his first year of acting school. It will be good for him, I think it would also be good for you to know where he is and that he will be safe all the time."

Steve looked him up and down, and then leaned forward and wrapped himself around Eddie tightly. "Thank you.. Thank you so much."

Eddie smiled and returned the hug. "Of course, he is our kid after all."
