Steve's hands were shaking as he held the acceptance letter in his hand, Dustin was going to leave him here. Dustin was going to have a life, while he wouldn't... but if he didn't let him go Dustin would likely hate him forever.

Steve let out a soft sigh, he didn't know what to do. He just knew that he had to let Dustin make this choice. He had to let Dustin be happy.

Steve knocked on Dustin's hotel room door and put on his best smile, he hated himself but there was nothing else he could do. He wanted Dustin to do whatever made him happy. Dustin opened the door with a soft grin, Steve spotted Eddie sitting on the couch it was clear they were going over lines for something.

"Hey I wanted you to see something." Steve smiled.

Dustin looked him over curiously. "What is it?"

"Take this." Steve handed it to Dustin carefully. Dustin took the paper from his hand and looked it over. Steve walked towards where Eddie was seated, he squeezed in next to him, Eddie pulled him closer with a grin.

Dustin opened the letter, the boy screamed out in excitement. "I got in! They let me in!"

Eddie smiled and pulled Steve into himself closer. "Our kid got into school, they took him!."

"He did." Steve smiled, he was trying so hard to be happy for Dustin but there was something inside of himself that made him so nervous. "We are so excited for you Dusty."

Dustin dove into their arms. Steve held him tightly, but the tears started to roll. Eddie looked Steve over and it took all Steve had to try and explain himself in a way that wouldn't get him in trouble.

"I just can't believe you're already old enough to go off to acting school... The fact I- I'm going to have to see you off and actually spend time away from you..."

Eddie chalked it all up to him being emotional, but Steve was honestly heartbroken. He didn't want Dustin to leave, and if he left him now he would have to stay with Eddie to make sure he was okay and keep him in school and help him with his career.

Dustin snuggled into them both. He couldn't wait to get into school and perform, Eddie laughed a bit and held them both. This was all Eddie had ever wanted. He had always wanted Steve, he had wanted to make him happy and make him love him. Now he had Steve and all he had to do was keep Dustin happy and taken care of and Steve was putty under his hands.

"We will do whatever we can to make sure you keep doing well at school and all of that. Don't you worry."

Steve sighed and leaned into Eddie some more. Everything felt so strange, he was leaning into Eddie for support, he wanted Eddie to help him through this but he was also petrified of staying with Eddie all the time. Staying with him however meant that he would be happy. Staying with him meant that Dustin would get to keep going to school and he would hopefully one day be successful in whatever it was that Dustin wanted to do with his life.

"Let's take you out to dinner to celebrate, anywhere you want around here, my treat."

Dsutin grinned big and rattled off a few ideas before he ran off to get his shoes. As soon as Dustin was out of the room Eddie pinned Steve against the couch. "That's my good boy. You're doing so well, we will see him off to school."

"Eddie..."

Eddie kissed him roughly before he tipped his chin up. "You're mine, no one else gets to touch you anymore, if what you said was true."

"Please..." Steve begged. "Please I'll do anything.."

"Keep being a good boy and I'll keep it that way," Eddie promised. "Alright?"

Steve nodded, the two readjusted as they heard Dustin's feet on the hardwood. Steve readjusted his shirt a bit and smiled. Maybe there was more progress here than he expected, he just wanted to know what the band members were going to think of such a decision.
