Y/N turned her full attention to the boy beside her. The words were processing in her mind before realizing what it is Koji was talking about.
"Oh yeah, that short guy's grimiore"
Kaito spoke up, seating himself on a large rock nearby as he crossed his arms and closed his eyes trying to think.
"Yup, despite the fact that the boy is a commoner..and has not even a single ounce of mana..he was still able to get his hands on that book."
Koji smiled, his grip on y/n's shoulder tightened, causing her to wince and place a hand over his, removing it swiftly.
Koji understood and apologized before stepping towards the seated man, taking a seat on the ground next to him.
"A 5 clover grimore.. and a 4 clover grimore."
Y/N mumbled to herself before looking at the sky. "The 4 leaf wasn't so surprising, since the boy--Yuno? Was it, held such outstanding mana. His magic was just amazing.." she smiled and looked towards her best friend and brother.
"However, the 5 clover.. no magic..and he still has it. That boy is a monster. The overwhelming power I felt when he stepped towards us..it was-"
"Terrifying? Yeah, I can agree.."
Kaito spoke slowly, his eyes opened but it's gaze was on the floor. "That boy is dangerous. The 5 clover grimore holding a God damn devil-"
"Yes but it's thrilling isn't it? Knowing that someone like him managed to actually have it?" Koji replied, a laugh following his words as he eyes the man beside him.
"Its not thrilling kid, that boy is a dangerous man! If he ends up figuring out the power he holds the situations would be worse!!" Kaito shouted back at Koji, causing his smile to cease and flinch slightly.
"God knows what will happen if he even unlocks a small percentage of his demonic power!! And not to mention the FULL AMOUNT?! YOU CANT BE SERIOUS AND THINK THAT IF IT COMES DOWN TO IT, WE ALL WILL BE DEAD!"
Kaitos grip on his arms tightened as he thought about everything.
"I understand the anger you are feeling my friend, but you haven't thought about things fully.? Have you." Koji stood up from the ground, his voice was overwhelmingly calm.
"He is right brother. Although other people will likely die if Asta manages to find his true power and lose control, us three won't."
Y/N spoke after, her expression remained neutral as she sighed. Kaito gave her a confused look, telling her that he doesn't understand anything which made her groan from annoyance.
"You are older than me but yet don't understand anything.. jeez Kai.. what I mean is that in our family we have something special, same goes for the Akane's."
Her hands lowered to her side as she reached for her grimiore, and Koji did the same. Kaito looked at the two and decided to follow up.
"Me and you have had the planetary magic run through our generations for years, and for the first time we have figured out a special and unique thing about it."
Y/N held her grimiore in her hand and examined the cover. It was a dark purple color with gold details on each corners and white specks filled the purple as if stars. A 3 leaf clover was in the center.
"Allow me to explain in a more simple way. For my rival you are rather stupid,"
Koji laughed while looking at his own. It was a full white cover with yellow marking engraved in it. A 3 clover grimore was also in the center as a yellow diamond was in its background.
"You little shit- I'm not stupid! It's not my fault that I've been so busy in doing other things that I haven't been really focusing on stuff about my book." Kaito huffed and looked at his.
It was a gray color with black markings around. It was a simple cover as the 3 leaf clover was in the center.
"Yeah yeah, as y/n was saying, we have something special running through our magic. Our magic is held by 3 powerful, "spirits" if you want to say. Strong enough to battle the demon in the 5 clover on a one on one battle..stronger when working together"
Kaito looked at Koji in disbelief. His head shook a bit as a small laugh escaped.
"You really think--oh God! Are you talking about that stupid myth? The one after the demon myth arrived?"
"Yes Kai. That's the one." Y/N spoke up with a stern look. She wasn't the type for jokes so that definitely made her brother shut up. "You know the element spirits. The wind spirit sylph and fire spirit salamander are most famous. The spirits within our grimiore are practically like them but instead of proving that you are strong to get their approval.."
"You've got to give them some sacrifice to satisfy them and get them to let you their power. It's such annoyance but I can understand to an extent"
Koji finished y/n's sentence as he placed his grimiore back in its holder, as well as y/n doing the same. Kaito on the other hand just stared down at his own..he couldn't believe what was being said. Yes, he's heard the myth before but he thought it was just pretend! Knowing these two, they don't really have time for jokes--so..
"Alright then I guess it's not that much of a worry?..still he will be dangerous" Kaito sighed and crosses his arms again. "Anyways let's just get back to what we originally had planned. Let's get the training done so that you two can pass the exams."
The two friends looked at eachother and nodded, giving Kaito their full attention. Although the whole Asta situation was big, they had other matters at hand. And that was getting accepted as royal knights.
"Let's start with some basic defense? I'll launch that same attack I did with Koji and I want you guys to block it"
Koji and y/n nodded and had their grimiores open and ready.
"Alright then."
"Planet magic. Striking moons"
