Brielle Williams sat at her desk, surrounded by textbooks and notes, her mind consumed by the complexities of organic chemistry. Despite the chaos of her surroundings, she found solace in the rhythm of her studies, the familiar melodies of academia providing a comforting backdrop to her thoughts.
As the only daughter of the Williams family, owners of a successful pharmaceutical company, Brielle was no stranger to the pressures of academia and the expectations placed upon her by her family. Yet, despite her privileged upbringing, she preferred a simpler way of life, one devoid of the trappings of wealth and status.
With a sigh, Brielle set aside her textbooks and reached for her laptop, eager to escape into the world of K-pop, her one true passion. As the familiar beats of her favorite boy bands filled the air, she felt a sense of peace wash over her, the chaotic world outside fading into the background.
Unlike many of her peers, Brielle had little interest in dating or romantic pursuits. Instead, she found companionship in the melodies of K-pop, losing herself in the music and the stories it told. For her, the members of her favorite boy bands were more than just idols; they were friends, confidants, and sources of inspiration.
As the day wore on, Brielle's thoughts drifted to the upcoming ambassador role she had been assigned for the university soccer team. Despite her initial reluctance, she knew she couldn't neglect her responsibilities entirely.
Just then, Mia Lorentis, bestfriend of Brielle burst into the room, "Hey Bree, guess what"
"What?" I replied.
"I just ran into Woodrow Graham at the cafe and along with him was Xander Hayes" she said it with excitement.
"Xander who?"
"Oh gosh, please don't tell me that you didn't know who Xander Hayes is"
" Am I suppose to know him, if he isn't written in these books, then I'm not really meant to know him" I said it with a smile.
" Alexander Hayes, The Rocket, the captain of the soccer team, the team that you're assigned to be the ambassador, the King of the Kings, youngest son of the Hayes Corporation, and you know what, he's even hotter in person, if that's even possible ".
Mia and her obsession with men goes on and on.
Mia continues, " But he seemed pretty cold, I heard that his girlfriend cheated on him with another dude from the Basketball Team, poor guy. Every girl on the campus wish to date him and this bitch decided to cheat on him. Ughhh the audacity".
"A team captain with a broken heart? Great". I make a snarky comment.
"You and your cold heart. Goshh I'd be so damn happy if I even had the chance to be the ambassador for the team".
"Then you can replaced me, you know that I'm not really interested on being one".
"I don't have the face and body like you, besides I think this is the best job for you. Maybe you'll get to meet a nice guy."
"No, sorry not interested."
"Bree, there's a world outside your textbooks and k-poppie boys".
"Don't you dare judge my k-poppie boys".
Mia laughed "Okay, I hope you don't forget that you have to attend tomorrow's practice session in the evening ".
"Oops, totally forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder." I said it with a smirk.
" Anyways, I'm going. Don't forget to filled me up with the details after tomorrow practice."
"Still not interested " I laughed.
It's getting late and I'm rushing home since I fell asleep on the library. Reaching home passed dinner time.
Ray, "Sunshine, you're late".
"I'm sorry Dad, I fell asleep on the library while doing my assignments".
"Have you eaten? If not Miss Green made spaghetti, go help yourself in the kitchen ".
"Okay Dad, after I finished eating, I'll be heading straight to my room since I've got so much to do".
"Sure, don't overworked yourself ".
"Love you Dad".
"Love you Sunshine ".
Miss Green's food's always the best. After I finished eating, I take a quick shower and settled into my desk. Despite the late hours, I'm determined to finished my assignments before calling it a night.
It's past 1 a.m. I sleep on my bed, just keep wondering about my newly assigned role. I don't know why people are so enthusiastic about this, it's not really that special. I should really fall asleep as tomorrow (today) is gonna be a long day with the jocks.
