We trekked the stairs down to the cellar and storage rooms under Skyhold. It was dank and inadequately lit, something we should have remedied but have yet to do. The alcohol cellar was nearby, and the sound of clinking and shuffling led directly to Josephine.
"Oh! Your Grace! Commander! I can't find the Gold Sythe 4:90 Black bottle anywhere. I have been saving it for a special occasion, and today feels like an excellent day to open it!" Josephine exclaimed. She immediately could feel the unease. "Did something happen?"
"Don't worry about it, Josephine! We came to check on you and see if you needed help." I explained cheerfully.
"Anything to get out of that hall. I was... so close to lashing out. I can't do that. Not today. Not ever. Not to our friends." Cullen expressed regretfully.
Josephine looked at me with concerned eyes. I offered her a smile, and she nodded. "I know you are a good man, Commander. Whatever was said, relations can always be mended."
I snuck past Josephine to reach for the Gold Sythe 4:90 Black bottle behind her. I dusted off the glass and presented the bottle to her. "I found the one you were looking for. A little grubby, but I recognized the shape of the bottle."
Cullen chuckled, "Josephine, it was directly behind you. How did you not see it?"
Her face flushed, and she snatched the bottle from my hand and hugged it to her chest. "I hadn't gotten to that shelf yet! I was searching the shelves from bottom to top! I will grab a few wines and whiskeys while you two go... pester someone else!"
