The next morning I got ready and looked down at my bracelet. I saw it was glowing. That must mean the gem is nearby. I looked around the room and saw the fireplace shift to an opening to a staircase. I knew exactly where I was now. This was Sleeping Beauty's room when she was my age. I knew I had to follow it up to the room. it would make the most sense for the gem to be hidden where a significant event happened.

I went up the stairs and it felt cold and dark. Something told me to turn back, but something also told me to keep going. I needed to see if the gem was here and that's why the bracelet glows. If not then why does it glow?

I was almost to the tower when I heard my name. "Savannah where are you?" someone yelled panicked. I wanted to call out, but my words were failing me. I grabbed my throat. I grabbed the wall and leaned on it for support.

"Come to me my dear sweet child" another voice called out. I looked up the steps and then back down. I needed to find out even if it was a risk. I continued going up the staircase to the highest tower. I walked in and saw Ursula standing there. I also saw a gem floating in the middle of the room encompassed in magic making the outline of a spinning wheel.

"How does it feel princess to know, your grandmother cursed someone up here" she laughed. I went to try and speak and nothing came out again. I put both hands on my neck.

"Oh it seems my spell did work on you" she smirked. I glared and her and used my magic to blast her. "Oh the princess has magic now does she" I blasted her again and it hit the gem then bounced back to hit her.

"Savannah, where are you?" I could tell this time it was Garrison. "Oh is that lover boy" she smirked. I glared and blasted my magic at her one last time. She froze. I saw the necklace. I grabbed it and smashed it. however, I felt something sharp on it. I looked at my finger and saw the drop of blood. I instantly collapsed to the ground.

Meanwhile

"Garrison, is Savannah coming down for breakfast?" asked my mother. "She should be" I spoke looking at my phone. There was no message from her. Something was off.

Just then our head guard walked in "we've been alerted of dark energy in the north tower" "but it's been closed off for years" questioned Queen Leah.

"Savannah's in the guest room, which was my old room" spoke my grandmother. I shot up and began running to the room. My father followed quickly behind me. I got to her room and knocked. There was no answer, so I chose to open.

When I did, I saw the staircase opened in the fire place. "Oh my goodness" gasped my grandmother. "Dad, grandfather, come with me" I spoke panicked. They both nodded and followed. I ran up the staircase.

"Savannah where are you?" I yelled. There was no answer. "Please don't be too late" I muttered under my breath. The stairs felt like they went on forever. "Savannah, where are you?" I called out louder. Still no answer.

"Grandfather, how far are we?" I called back. "Almost there, let me go in front" he spoke coming up in front of me. I nodded and stopped on the stairs. "It will be alright, son" "thanks dad" I half smiled.

We continued up until we got to the room. We pushed in the door all the way and I saw her. she was laying unconscious on the floor, but she wasn't alone. Ursula was frozen in magic and then the guardian gem was encompassed in magic outlining the old spinning wheel.

We needed the gem, but I needed Savannah first. I kneeled down to kiss her. I watched as the golden magic spread throughout the room. the gem fell and I caught it. I placed it near her guardian bracelet and it went in as she woke up.

"Savannah" "Garrison" I held her tightly. "Thank you" she spoke softly. I kissed her forehead. "I will not let anyone hurt you and get away with it" I spoke firmly. She nodded and nestled into my chest. I could feel her shaking but it wasn't visible to the others.

"Call Hades" spoke grandfather. My dad nodded and ran off.

"How are you feeling Savannah?" asked my grandfather kneeling down to our level. "Scared, I am in the same room my grandmother inflicted a curse and now I just went through one. I've had so many recent attacks and I'm terrified only more will happen" "we won't let anything happen to you" "that's not what I'm scared of, I don't want anyone else to get hurt because of me" she cried.

"And so what if we do? Your job is to protect Auradon and our job is to protect you. Some damage will occur, but never let it get a hold of your heart. That is the one thing you need to protect most, as evident with Audrey, Jealously and heartbreak can do a lot more damage" my grandfather said.

"Thank you" she nodded. "Let me help you up" I spoke standing up before her. She took my hand and I helped her up. she waved her hand and the necklace went back into one piece. She then made an orb to contain it.

"I pricked my finger on the necklace as I shattered it. She had to know I would have gone for the necklace. Which means the villains are going with the predictable move" she said staring at it.

"Then we need to train you to not be predictable" spoke another voice. We both looked towards the door and saw Hades. "Gramps" she said relieved running to hug him. "Hi sweetheart" he spoke hugging her.

He then looked behind me and saw Ursula frozen in time. "You need more security" he spoke calmly as he flicked his wrist to send her away. "I know and I think there is somewhere we can get it, but it's a risk" "No you are not going to wonderland or inviting anyone from there, that is more dangerous than the isle" he growled. "I was not going to suggest there, trust me I know it's the most forbidden state of Auradon, but I will need it's gem, but we need to go outside of Auradon for help. It's time to further strengthen the reign of Auradon" she spoke calmly.

"Whatever you need, Auroria will aid you, your family and ours is the most powerful in all of Auradon" "thank you" she spoke going over to hug my grandfather. "Thank you" "of course princess" he smiled.

"I know you have a mission right now, Savannah, but your coronation is now in 24 days" she looked down at the bracelet and saw the number "I know, I can worry about touring the kingdom afterwards. You're right gramps it's better to rest and be home for the next three and a half weeks" she sighed.

"Savannah, what about-" I asked but she interrupted "it can wait, it will all be fine" she spoke softly. I nodded.

"Then let's all have breakfast and then the three of you can head back to Auradon Central" spoke my grandfather. "Sounds great Philip" spoke Hades. They smiled and walked out first.

Savannah and I stayed back for a moment. "Are you sure about this?" I asked. "Garrison, I can't risk getting hurt right now this close to my coronation. It would blow a plan, that I have and I can't risk that either as that would put Auradon in danger. It would put you in danger, and your safety is all I care about. I love you Garrison" "I love you too Savannah Rose, and your safety is my priority" I spoke kissing her. When we broke apart, I rested my head against hers. "We're a team, you and me" "you and me" she smiled.
