St Louis Missouri.

Hours before AEW DYNASTY.

Unfortunately I'm not making my debut YET because my dad felt that I still need improvement on my skills.

Apparently "Father knows best"

So I'm in the ring at the local gym doing some wrestling training with my friend, Kris Statlander.

We've been going at this back and forth training as I nailed most of my moves to perfection. My dive was perfect, my landing was great, my strikes were superb, everything about my wrestling was top notch.

When I got Kris in a full nelson lock. My dad could be seen pinching the bridge of his nose, as if trying to process the performance he witnessed me do.

Then not long after, I heard him sighed "Alright.... I've seen enough...."

I released my friend and stopped what I was doing as disbelief wept my face and shot him with my set of blue, confused gaze. "Wait....What do you mean you've seen enough? You saw how much progress I've made here like......Huh??......." I said while I was unable to understand why my dad was unsatisfied with my hard working improvements. I figured with my progress, he'd be at least a little proud but instead, he's disappointed.

Chris, turned to me with a face filled with bummed dissatisfaction and lightly dropped his hand to the side. "It's not enough...." He spoke frankly.

Even Kris herself was confused as I was and she went over to the ropes to look at my father to speak out. "Not enough?.....Chris...Kelsey has given me her all in this training......Looks to me like she can put up a hell of a fight, she doesn't play when it comes to her in ring skills. What more do you want out of her?"

My dad then took a moment to shut his eyes and held his hand out at Kris "Please........" He began then opened his eyes to look over at Statlander, looking serious but sincere. "I'm speaking with my daughter.....With all due respect, this discussion is between me and her so, if you please?......Thank you."

Kris stood there staring at my father, not impressed by the way he spoke to her. But she decided to step out of the ring and went to another part of the gym which was her way of backing off and remained silent.

I soon folded my arms in front and stared at my father. "Alright, what did I do this time? Am I breaking the rules of the Ugly Tree or something?...." I sarcastically asked.
