"Go ahead and cry little girl
Nobody does it like you do."

Novalie was woken up in the middle of the night, she was rushed out of her house as her mother said that they would be safer in Las Vegas. Novalie was confused, what did her mother mean by 'safe'? She shook it off and stayed quiet and let her mother drive.

Novalie quickly fell asleep, by the time she woke up, it was the next day, her 7th birthday, the two were making a quick stop for gas and food. Novalie followed her mother to get some snacks for a birthday breakfast which was unusual for Izabella to do.

It was raining and Novalie wanted to play in the rain while her mother filled up the car but Izabella yelled at her not to so she just stuck her hand out to feel the water.

Novalie smiled as she slowly stepped farther from her mother and closer to the rain. Suddenly, lighting was coming down, right at Novalie. Izabella pushed her daughter out of the way, Novalie stared in horror. Izabella was laying on the ground, her body was covered in blood and fire. Another lightning bolt struck her, Novalie collapsed on the floor as she looked at her mothers body, her flesh and bones had exploded. Novalie was covered in her mothers blood.

Novalie took her mothers bracelet off her wrist, it was the only body part that wasn't on fire. She grabbed her bag of clothes and ran, the rain washed off the blood on her face but her clothes were now a dark red. After a few days of walking, Novalie made it to Las Vegas, she had no idea where to go but saw a bunch of people going into a place with a large lotus flower. It was the Lotus Hotel and Casino. Novalie entered, she would eat and watch the adults gamble in the casino.

After what felt like a few weeks in the hotel, Novalie decided to leave. When she left, everything was different, the buildings were completely different. People looked and acted different too, but Novalie didn't have much time to look around because she noticed a large monster running towards her. Novalie ran to the first place she saw, a train, with people going in.

Novalie managed to escape the monster but ended up getting kicked off the train when they found out she had no ticket. When she was kicked out, she bumped into an old lady named Mrs. Williams. Mrs. Williams was heading to L.A. Novalie had no idea where that was but listened, Novalie and Mrs. Williams ended up getting separated during their first stop. Novalie found a train heading to Long Island, Montauk. Novalie jumped on the train and hid from everyone.

When the train finally came to a stop, she was at Long Island. Novalie looked around to see where to go, but she had to run away again. That monster came back and it was running at full speed. Novalie ran away, she started running so fast it felt like her legs would fall off. Novalie made her way to a forest, she ran into it, hoping the monster would lose her.

Novalie saw an arch on top of a hill. She pushed herself to run, she ran up the hill and collapsed when she couldn't even move anymore. Novalie covered her head and prepared herself for the same fate as her mother. When nothing happened, Novalie lifted her hands, the monster wasn't able to enter. Novalie sat there, she buried her head in her hands and started crying, she knew nobody would ever believe her.

People never believed her when she would tell them about times she swore she saw people who died. They never believed her when she thought she saw a three headed dog and a tall man that looked similar to herself. If people never believed her those times, they wouldn't believe her now.

Novalie was now standing in front of a man in a Hawaiian shirt, he was a little small, and had a red nose, big watery eyesand curly hair so black it was almost purple. He looked like he would be a cold man that wouldn't even try speaking to Novalie.
